The Baking Soda Face Wash

Ingredients:

  • Your regular face wash or honey- 1 Tsp
  • Baking soda – 1 tsp
  • Moisturizer (non- comedogenic)

Method:

  1. On your palms, take the usual amount of the regular face wash that you use.
  2. If you do not use a face wash, then you can use a teaspoon of honey.
  3. Take 1 tsp of baking soda.
  4. Add a few drops of water to make lather.
  5. Use it as you use your face wash, massaging in circular motions for some time. Avoid using it around eyes.
  6. Wash it off with some cool water.
  7. Follow up with a moisturizer.

Frequency:

Use it as an exfoliating face wash for two to three times a week for best results.

The Baking Soda Spot Treatment

Ingredients:

  • Baking soda – 1 tsp
  • Water – 1 Tsp
  • Moisturizer (non- comedogenic)

Method:

  1. In a bowl, take equal amounts, one teaspoon each, of baking soda and water.
  2. Mix well to form a paste.
  3. Apply this paste, right on the spot where you have pimples.
  4. Let it sit on your face for 20 minutes. If you have sensitive skin, you can wash it off sooner. If it reacts on your skin, then immediately stop using this remedy.
  5. Wash it off with lukewarm water.
  6. Follow up with a moisturizer.

Ingredients:

  • Baking Soda – 2 tbsps
  • Water – 2 tbsps

Method:

  1. In a bowl, take 2 tbsp of baking soda.
  2. Add 2 tbsps of water to it.
  3. Mix it well to form a thick paste.
  4. Apply it all over your face. Use this mask only if you have extremely pimple prone skin and it doesn’t react against baking soda.
  5. Let it stay on your skin for 15-20 minutes. If you have sensitive skin, you can wash it off sooner.
  6. Wash it off using lukewarm water.
  7. Follow up with a moisturizer.

Ingredients:

  • Facewash
  • Moisturizer (non- comedogenic)
  • Coconut oil – 1 Tsp
  • Baking soda – 1 tsp

Method:

  1. In a bowl, combine a pump of the facewash you use, with 1 tsp of baking soda.
  2. Add 1 tsp of coconut oil to it.
  3. Mix it well.
  4. Apply it on your face like a regular face wash and avoid using it around your eyes.
  5. After massaging it on your face for some time, wash it with cool water.
  6. Follow up with a non- comedogenic moisturizer.
