A hair spa treatment, is not just about pampering the hair with a massage. It also provides nutrients to the hair, with a variety of packs. The five essentials steps for complete hair spa are: hair oil, massage, shampoo, conditioner & hair mask.

In this video, I am going to share each and every step in full detail.

Step #1

Massage your scalp

This is the initial step to start a hair spa treatment at home.

Warm up your hair oil, I prefer coconut oil or olive oil. Massage your scalp gently with this oil.  Massage increases blood circulation and boosts hair growth.

Step #2

If you have hair steamer, you can use that, but if you don’t have steamer, follow this method.

Dip a towel in warm water, and squeeze the excess water out.

Wrap the towel around the hair.

This allows the oil to penetrate deep into the scalp. Do this for about 5-6 minutes.

Step #3

Wash your hair

Now, after steaming, wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Always use only cold water to wash your hair, as hot water is harmful to the hair roots.

Also always dilute your shampoo with equal amount of water, and then pour it on your scalp.

Step #4

Condition your hair

Post the shampooing, use a conditioner for 3-5 minutes on your hair.

If you don’t have conditioner available, just add few drops of lime juice in water of tea leaves, and your natural conditioner is ready.

Or you can also try a paste of grated beetroot to which hibiscus powder has been added.

The hibiscus flower powder is a great base and is rich in iron and other vitamins.

Step #5

Hair Mask

The last step is crucial, as it seals in the nourishment.

Try making this mask at home.

Ingredients that you will need to prepare this mask are:

Eggs – 2

Honey – 1 spoon

Coconut oil

Ripe Banana – 1

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend it.

Your natural hair mask is ready. Apply this mask all over your wet hair, and cover it with shower cap

Leave it for 20 minutes, and then rinse it off with mild shampoo
