Brahmi Powder + Coconut Oil+ Plain Curd

How To:

  1. Take 4 tbsp of Brahmi powder in a bowl and add an equal amount of plain curd and 1 tbsp of coconut oil.
  2. Mix all the ingredients briskly so that there are no lumps.
  3. Leave it for 1 hour.
  4. Apply this paste on your hair from one end to another with help of a colour applicator.
  5. Leave it for 40 minutes.
  6. Rinse with cool water in summer and normal water in winter.
  7. Shampoo and condition your hair.

How it Works:

Brahmi has been used since ancient times for hair as it restores and strengthens hair follicles and tissues in the scalp. This mixture also nourishes the hair and provides a soothing and calming effect on our mind.

Amla + Shikakai Shampoo And Conditioner

How To:

  1. Take equal amounts of Shikakai and Amla and soak them in nearly 1 glass of water at night.
  2. Leave it overnight.
  3. Put it on a gas burner in the morning and let it boil for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove it and let it cool at room temperature.
  5. Strain and separate the water from the amla and Shikakai.
  6. Apply this water on your head and shampoo and condition as you normally do.
  7. Repeat this process for best results.

How it Works:

This solution works as both a shampoo and conditioner and has been used in most Indian households since centuries. Both the ingredients keep the scalp clean, healthy and hydrated.

Henna + Tea Leaves

How To:

  1. Take some of your regular tea leaves and place it in a saucepan with a glass of water to boil.
  2. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove and leave it to cool at room temperature.
  4. Strain and separate the leaves from the water.
  5. Take half a cup of henna powder and slowly mix this water in it.
  6. We will need an even paste that can easily sit on the hair and hence add the tea water accordingly.
  7. Leave the paste for an hour.
  8. Apply it on your hair.
  9. Leave it for 40 minutes.
  10. Shampoo and condition your hair after a thorough rinsing.

How it Works:

This paste cleans the scalp, removes dandruff, strengthens hair follicles and acts as a dye and conditioner for hair.


Coconut Oil + Amla

How To:

  1. Add some amla in 1 cup of coconut oil and place it on the gas flame for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove and leave it to cool.
  3. Strain and separate the oil from the amla.
  4. Pour the oil in another airtight bottle.
  5. Apply it at least twice every week at night before going to bed on your scalp and hair.
  6. Make sure to massage it for a few minutes and leave it overnight.
  7. Shampoo and condition your hair the next day.

This oil is enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants that rejuvenate the hair follicles.

Aloe Vera

How To:

  1. Take 1 aloe vera leaf and extract its juice after peeling it.
  2. Apply it on your hair.
  3. Leave it for 20 minutes.
  4. Shampoo and condition as you normally do.
