Chemical-free charcoal cleanser

This cleanser will pull out all traces of dirt from the face to prevent pimples. It is suitable for all skin types.

Ingredients: 

  • Cocoa butter: 2 tablespoons
  • Shea butter: 2 tablespoons
  • Liquid castile soap: 2 cups
  • Palm free glycerine: 2 tablespoons
  • Vitamin E oil: 10 drops
  • Activated charcoal: 3 teaspoons
  • Bentonite clay: 3 teaspoons
  • Lavender essential oil: 20 drops
  • Rosemary essential oil: 20 drops
  • Tea tree essential oil: 12 drops
  • Peppermint essential oil: 6 drops
  • Mason jar: 1
  • Wooden spoon:1

Process:

  1. Using the double boiler method, place the empty mason jar in a container that is half filled with water, & heat it on a medium flame.
  2. Put cocoa butter and shea butter in the jar to melt them, mix well.
  3. Put the flame off and take out the mason jar.
  4. Add vitamin E oil and glycerin in it and mix well.
  5. Now, put activated charcoal and bentonite clay in this mixture and keep stirring.
  6. Finally, add castile soap and all the essential oils in adequate proportions while stirring. Transfer it to a suitable container.
  7. Take some amount of this cleanser and wash your face with it, do not forget to shake it well before use.
  8. Rinse off with warm water.
  9. Follow up with a natural rose toner.

Frequency: 

Use this cleanser every day instead of your regular face wash.

French green clay-activated charcoal mask

This face mask is suitable for oily skin especially, as it controls excess oil sebum and oil production.

Ingredients: 

  • French green clay: 2 tablespoons
  • Activated charcoal: 1 tablespoon
  • Uncoated aspirin tablet: 2
  • Tea tree essential oil: 1 drop
  • Face pack brush: 1

Process:

  1. Add all the dry ingredients & a drop of tea tree essential oil in a blender and blitz them well.
  2. Take a generous amount of this face mask on your face pack applicator.
  3. Apply it evenly all over your face.
  4. Wash off with tepid water once it dries out completely.
  5. Follow up with a natural toner and moisturizer.

Lavender-activated charcoal face mask

This face mask has lavender oil which moisturizes the skin while cleansing it. This DIY is best suited for normal to dry skin type.

Ingredients: 

  • Organic coconut oil: 1 cup
  • Activated charcoal powder: 1.5 tablespoons
  • Baking Soda: 2 tablespoons
  • Lavender essential oil: 5 drops
  • Rosemary essential oil:  5 drops
  • Face pack brush: 1

Process:

  1. Add activated charcoal powder, followed by coconut oil and essential oils in a clean container.
  2. Next up, add baking soda and mix everything well to make a face pack.
  3. Take a generous amount of this face mask on your face pack applicator.
  4. Apply it evenly all over your face.
  5. Wash off with warm water once it dries out completely.
  6. Pat dry your face with a clean towel.
  7. Follow up with a hydrating moisturizer.
