1. Aloe Vera and Tea Tree oil for oily skin

Aloe vera is known for its anti-inflammatory properties which help to fight the excess oil produced in the face and prevents acne and other skin related problems of oily skin. Astringent properties present in Aloe Vera help to absorb excess oil produced by the skin. Tea tree oil, on the other hand, helps to remove dirt from the skin pores.

Ingredients Required:

  • 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera Gel
  • 5 drops of tea tree oil

Preparation Process:

  1. Rinse your face with lukewarm water.
  2. Extract Aloe Vera gel from a freshly cut aloe vera leaf.
  3. Mix a tablespoon of extracted gel with 5 drops of tea tree oil in a bowl.
  4. Stir the mixture well.
  5. Apply the mixture for some time till it dries up.
  6. Rinse with cold water.
  7. Repeat the process daily for best results.

2. Avocado Mask for Dry skin

Avocado is a great natural ingredient to be used for people with dry skin. It moisturises the skin and keeps it hydrated.

Ingredients Required for Avocado Mask for dry skin:

  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • A tablespoon of honey

Preparation Process for Avocado Mask for dry skin:

  1. Prepare a puree of 1/2 an avocado.
  2. Mix this puree with a teaspoon of olive oil.
  3. Add a tablespoon of honey to the above mixture and stir well.
  4. Rinse your face with lukewarm water.
  5. Apply the mask and leave it on for about 15 minutes.
  6. Rinse off the mask using cold water.
  7. Apply a moisturiser, if required.
  8. This DIY can be used twice a week.

3. Cucumber for Dull Skin

Cucumber helps to add a cooling effect to the skin and replenishes the skin. It is also known to rejuvenate your dull skin with antioxidants. Cucumber is known for reducing swelling and improves the complexion of your skin.

Ingredients Required for cucumber mask:

  • A small sized cucumber
  • 2-3 tablespoons of yoghurt

Preparation Process for cucumber mask:

  1. Grate the small-sized cucumber in a bowl.
  2. Add 2-3 tablespoon of yoghurt to the bowl and mix well.
  3. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and pat dry.
  4. Apply the mixture on your face.
  5. Leave it on for about 5 minutes.
  6. Rinse off the mixture using cold water.
  7. Repeat the process once in 4 days.

4. Coconut oil for dry skin

Coconut oil is known for its skin healing and moisturising nature. It helps to replenish and nourish the skin from within.

Ingredients Required:

  • 10 black peppercorns
  • 1 litre of Coconut oil
  • 3-4 dried Amla
  • 10 curry leaves
  • A handful of henna leaves

Preparation Process:

  1. Heat a litre of coconut oil in a pan.
  2. Add 10 crushed black peppercorns to it.
  3. Add 3-4 dried Amla, 10 curry leaves and a handful of henna leaves.
  4. Stir the mixture well.
  5. Steep the above mixture for about 10 minutes.
  6. Store this oil in a jar.
  7. Apply this on your face daily and massage.

Being aware of your skin type is vital as some ingredients can damage or cause allergies to your skin. Hence, always use natural ingredients as per your skin type.
