Lavender Oil

You will need :

  • One teaspoon lavender oil
  • Cotton swab/bud

Method :

  1. You simply need to dip a cotton bud/swab in lavender oil
  2. Apply it on the infected area and leave it in.
  3. You can use this 3-4 times a day until the infection heals.

Lavender oil is known to possess many antiseptic properties and thus help to curb the spreading of this infection further and to nearby regions of skin. It also protects the infected area from any other infections.

Coconut Oil

You will need :

  • Cotton bud/swab
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • ½ tablespoon Garlic oil (optional, garlic oil is loaded with antimicrobial properties)

Method :

  1. Take the cotton bud/swab and dip it in coconut oil and garlic oil mixture (3:1 ratio).
  2. Put the swab/bud on the infected area for 15-20 minutes and then remove it.
  3. Repeat this procedure 3-4 times a day till the infection lasts.

Coconut oil is known for its exceptionally varied properties such as it is antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory. The antifungal property of coconut oil inhibits the fungus growth and prevents the infection from spreading.

Warm Salt Water

You will need :

  • One teaspoon salt
  • One cup of water
  • Cotton combat

Method :

  1. Take a teaspoon of salt and mix it in a cup of warm water.
  2. Take a cotton combat and dip it in the solution and wash the infected area.
  3. Then pat the area dry to remove all moisture.
  4. Apply a water-based antibacterial cream to it for best results.

Saltwater/ Saline water works as a natural disinfectant because of its hygroscopic property which successfully inhibits the growth of fungus and other infections caused by microorganisms. Warm saline water is beneficial because it enhances the blood flow of the region and absorbs the moisture from the infected area thus facilitating quick healing.

 

Neem

You will need :

  • Neem leaves 5-10 leaves (for one application)
  • Turmeric (one pinch)
  • Water
  • Grinder

Method :

  1. Grind the neem leaves with turmeric and water into a paste and apply on the infected area for 20-25 minutes.
  2. Then clean the area with warm water and pat it dry.
  3. It is recommended to apply this paste on the infected area twice a day for 1.5 to 2 weeks.

Neem is known for its excellent antibacterial and antifungal properties. It helps you in treating several health issues owing to bacterial or yeast infections. White Vinegar

You will need :

  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

  1. Mix one part white vinegar with two parts warm water.
  2. Using a cotton swab/bud apply it on the infected area and keep it for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Then wash it off with plain water and pat it dry.
  4. Use it twice a day for best results.

White vinegar helps in stopping the discharge which comes out of the belly button. It is known to possess natural acidic properties which help to inhibit and slow down the growth of bacteria.
