Anti – Ageing Masks to Look Younger

Although aging is a natural process, it can be accelerated by several other factors. Our skin tissue tends to lose its elasticity with age due to lesser production of collagen. Improper nutrition and an unbalanced diet can also result in sagging of skin, there are environmental factors as well which can cause premature aging. Some home remedies can help you retain your youth and help you to achieve younger looking skin.

Fuller’s Earth and Orange Peel Powder

You will need:

  • 1 teaspoon of fuller’s earth
  • 1 tablespoon of orange peel powder
  • 1 tablespoon of rose water

How to:

  1. Mix all the ingredients together to obtain a smooth paste.
  2. You may add more rose water if the mask is too thick to be applied.
  3. Apply the mask on your face and aloe it to dry.
  4. Wash it off with plain water.
  5. Do this remedy 2 times a week.

How this works:

Orange peel powder is packed with antioxidants. It is used as a common ingredient in many home remedies to achieve brighter looking skin. Orange peel powder helps to get rid of sun tan and makes scars fade away. Fuller’s earth is actually clay which is extremely good for the skin. When applied, it helps to absorb the excess oil from the skin and deep clean the pores. It does a very good job at removing all the dirt from the face. This clay is mild enough to be used on sensitive skin and it helps to soothe the skin. It brightens the skin and also helps to tighten the pores and shrink them to prevent the deposition of dirt.

Rosehip oil and Pomegranate seed oil

You will need:

  • 3-4 drops of rosehip oil
  • 3-4 drops of pomegranate seed oil

How to:

  1. Simply mix the two oils together and apply on the face.
  2. Massage the oils until it gets absorbed.
  3. Now using a tissue paper, blot away the excess oil present on the skin.
  4. Do this remedy every night before going to bed.

Rosehip oil has immense benefits for the skin. People with oily to combination skin tend to experience more acne breakouts due to excess sebum production. Rosehip oil can be used on oily skin because it does not clog the pores and therefore will not lead to any acne. Pomegranate oil is also non-comedogenic in nature and keeps the skin deeply nourished.


Lemon juice, Honey, and Aloe Vera Mask

You will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel

How to:

  1. Mix the aloe Vera gel with the lemon juice.
  2. Apply this on your face.
  3. Let it stay for 15 minutes.
  4. Rinse off with plain water.

How this works:

Lemon juice has skin lightening properties. It contains antioxidants which make the skin look fresh and brighter. Lemon juice is also a great source of vitamin C which promotes skin health. Aloe vera gel is a great skin remedy for aging skin as it nourishes the skin and also prevents any dryness. It soothes the skin and can also be applied to the eyes to reduce puffiness.

  • Do not use lemon juice on acne breakouts.
  • Do not go out in the sun immediately after using this remedy.

Tomato Juice

You will need:

  • 2 tablespoons of tomato juice

How to:

  1. Using a cotton ball, apply the tomato juice on your face.
  2. Let it dry.
  3. Rinse it off with plain water.
  4. Do this remedy 3-4 times a week.

Tomato juice has several benefits for the skin. When its juice is applied to the skin, it helps to increase its firmness. It can also help in getting rid of the suntan. Tomato juice is packed with antioxidants and even enzymes which make the skin look brighter and youthful.

Avocado and Yoghurt Facemask

You will need:

  • 3-4 dices of avocado
  • 1 teaspoon of curd

How to:

  1. In a bowl, add the avocado dices and the curd.
  2. Mash the two ingredients together using a spoon.
  3. Apply the paste formed, on your face.
  4. Keep it for 20 minutes.
  5. Rinse off using plain water.
  6. Do this remedy once a week.

How this works:

Avocadoes are a rich source of omega 3 fatty acids. These fatty acids help to make the skin smooth and supple and also prevent dryness. Curd contains lactic acid which brightens the skin and also makes it look healthier with regular application.
