Yoghurt is beneficial for the skin as well as the body. it can be used for maintaining healthy skin since it suits all skin types. Here are some natural remedies which will help you with this:

For dull looking skin

How to:

  1. Mix 1 tablespoon of yoghurt with 2 teaspoons of orange peel powder.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and mix well.
  3. Apply this paste on your face and allow it to dry up completely.
  4. Now rinse it off with plain water.
  5. Do this remedy 2 times a week.

How this works:

All the ingredients used in the face mask are for elimination hyper-pigmentation. Yoghurt helps in moisturizing the skin and since it contains lactic acid, it helps in getting rid of the dead skin cells which reveals brighter skin. Lemon juice helps in bleaching the skin while orange peel powder contains plenty of anti oxidants which help in eliminating skin dullness.

How to:

  1. Mix 1 tablespoon of gram flour with 1 tablespoon of yoghurt.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of honey.
  3. Mix well to get a smooth paste.
  4. Apply this paste on your face and allow it to dry up completely.
  5. Rinse off with plain water.
  6. Do this remedy 3 times a week.

How this works:

Gram flour has skin lightening properties. It also helps in exfoliating the skin very well and prevents the accumulation of dead skin cells. It helps to deep clean the pores as well. Honey is anti bacterial and anti fungal in nature. It helps in making the skin tone even while yoghurt makes the skin look healthy and refreshed.

  1. Add 1 tablespoon of yoghurt and 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder to 1tablespoon of licorice powder.

  3. Apply on the face and let it dry up completely.

  1. Add 1 cup of yoghurt to a blender.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of flaxseed gel.
  3. Add 1 cup of fresh berries.
  4. Pour in ½ cup of coconut water.
  5. Blend on high speed for 1 minute.
  6. Drink this smoothie 3 times a week.

How this helps:

Yoghurt contains essential fats which help in nourishing the skin from within. It also helps in improving digestion which in turn helps to clear out the skin. Berries contain anti oxidants which helping making the skin look younger. Flaxseed gel contains omega 3 fatty acids. Coconut water contains electrolytes as well as vitamin E which promote skin health.

  1. Add 1 tablespoon of yoghurt to 1 tablespoon of fuller’s earth.
  2. Mix well and apply the paste on the face.
  3. Let it dry up completely.
  4. Rinse off using plain water.
  5. Do this remedy 3 times a week.

This face mask is for oily skin. Fuller’s earth and yoghurt will help in removing all the impurities from the surface of the skin and prevent the skin from looking too greasy and oily.
