  • Rose water: 2 teaspoon

  1. In a bowl, add orange peel powder and clove’s oil. Then add 2 teaspoons of rose water. Churn the mixture finely.
  2. Then rub it on your face as a scrubber, for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Then wash your face with plain water.

PRECAUTIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS

  • Over usage of clove’s oil can lead to skin sensitization. It can cause liver damages, fluid imbalances, and seizures. Therefore, make sure you use the prescribed amount of clove’s oil.
  • Whenever you use apply clove’s oil on your directly on your skin make sure you mix it with a carrier oil like coconut oil, mustard oil etc. or with some other ingredient as well because clove’s oil is a very highly concentrated oil.
  • Those who have a problem with bleeding disorders should not take clove’s oil as it may slow down the process of blood clotting, increasing the risk of severe bleeding.
  • Over application of clove in the mouth on tooth or gum can damage the gum membrane so make sure to use a little bit of it or as prescribed.
  • Pregnant women should not take clove’s oil because it may interact with other medicines.

 

MYTHS AND FACTS

1.  Clove’s oil is safe to be applied on the gums of teething babies. No, this is not true because the clove’s oil is highly concentrated, due to which it is considered as a very strong essential oil. If this oil is applied on babies’ gum directly then it may cause damage to their gum membrane. Moreover, babies’ gums are too sensitive for the application of clove’s oil. Therefore it is not recommended to use this oil on babies’ gum.

Q1. Can clove’s oil increase the blood pressure?

A1. No, clove’s oil reduces the blood pressure. So for the people who suffer from the problem of low blood pressure are not recommended to consume the clove’s oil as it may further lower down the blood pressure. But the people who have high blood pressure can consume the clove’s oil as a remedy to lower down the blood pressure. Add few drops of clove’s oil to a glass of warm water and drink it every morning, to maintain blood pressure.
