Coconut sugar scrub, perfect scrub for whole body

Today I am going to share the recipe of a yummy scrub and I’m sure you’ll want to eat it. Preparation of this scrub is also very simple and they last about a year.

  • 1 cup basic white sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar (or you can use 1/4 cup brown sugar instead)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin coconut oil (regular coconut oil works, too)
  • 2 tbsp jojoba, sweet almond oil, olive oil or even coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Oil from vitamin E capsules. Take a pin and prick the capsule to remove the oil.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)


  1. Melt the coconut oil first by submerging it in a hot water bath.
  2. Once the oil is melted, combine the wet ingredients in a large bowl and combine them with a spoon or a whisk.
  3. Add in the dry ingredients and stir together.
  4. Pour the mixture into a jar or separate them in smaller jars to use as gifts. They make 3 1/2 cup jars.

Ingredients required:

  • Pure glycerin: 30 grams
  • Grapeseed carrier oil: half a cup
  • Rose clay: 2 tablespoons
  • Activated charcoal powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar: 1 cup
  • Lavender essential oil: 8-10 drops
  • Silicone ice-cube tray: 1
  • Mango butter: 2 tablespoons
  • Wooden spoon: 1
  • Sea buckthorn extracts: 2 teaspoons


  1. At first take glycerin, essential oil, carrier oil, brown sugar and sea buckthorn extract in a clean container.
  2. Microwave it for a minute so that everything melts and blends into each other.
  3. Next up, add activated charcoal in this slimy paste and mix it well with a wooden spoon only.
  4. After that, add the other ingredients and keep mixing until you get a smooth, lump-free crimson red paste.
  5. Coat the ice-tray moulds with generous amount mango butter.
  6. Now pour the mixture in the ice tray.
  7. Refrigerate overnight.
  8. Use this gentle exfoliating scrub bathing bar instead of a regular shower.
  9. Massage your body with this scrub for a minute or two.
  10. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
  11. Follow up with a skin-nourishing body butter afterwards.

  • Use a single cube of this aromatic crimson red scrub every week to get the best results.

Use coffee-vanilla body scrub and bid adieu to cellulite

Ingredients required:

  • Finely ground roasted coffee beans: half  a cup
  • Castor sugar: half  a cup
  • Hexane free castor oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Natural vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Geranium essential oil: 3 drops
  • Pure glycerin: 1 tablespoon


  1. Add all the ingredients in the specified quantities in an airtight mason jar.
  2. Close the lid and shake it well to make sure everything gets mixed up properly.
  3. Use this homemade aromatic scrub instead of your regular shower gel and exfoliate your skin gently in circular motions with a light hand while using this scrub.
  4. Rinse it off with running tap water.
  5. Moisturize with a body lotion afterwards.


  • Apply this scrub twice a week to get rid of dead skin cells from your body in no time.

Ginger-green tea gentle exfoliating scrub

Ingredients required:

  • Freshly unbrewed coffee grounds: half a cup
  • Extra virgin coconut oil: half a cup
  • Green tea leaf: 2 tablespoons
  • Finely grounded ginger root: 2 teaspoons
  • Strainer: 1
  • Body lotion: as much as required
  • Silicone ice-tray: 1


  1. Take green tea leaves and extra virgin coconut oil in a container.
  2. Simmer it on low flame for about 30 minutes.
  3. After that, turn off the flame and set it aside for about 20 minutes and allow it to cool down.
  4. Now, strain out the oil in another container.
  5. Add coffee, and ginger in this oil.
  6. Mix it well to make a gentle exfoliating scrub.
  7. Now transfer the contents in a silicone ice tray and let it sit for a while.
  8. Alternatively, you can also refrigerate this mixture for about 15 minutes.
  9. Use this scrub while taking a shower to gently exfoliate your skin.
  10. Make sure that you use a body lotion after using this scrub.

  • Use this scrub twice a week to treat dry and flaky skin.

Brown sugar- shea butter scrub bar

Ingredients required: (to prepare the brown sugar scrub stripes)

  • Cocoa butter: quarter cup
  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Shea butter: quarter cup
  • Brown sugar: 1 cup
  • Silicone mold: 1

Ingredients required: (to prepare the shea butter stripes)

  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Shea butter: 3/4th of a cup
  • Cocoa butter: 3/4th of a cup
  • Manuka honey: 1 tablespoon
  • Bergamot oil: 15 drops
  • Airtight container: 1


  1. At first, take coconut oil, shea butter and cocoa butter in a container.
  2. Put it in the microwave to make sure everything melts properly.
  3. Now, add brown sugar in this mixture and keep stirring, it should have a mildly coarse texture and not too runny, add more sugar if you want to adjust the consistency.
  4. Pour this mixture into a silicone mold and refrigerate it for 30 minutes for it to solidify.
  5. After 30 minutes, take out the brown sugar scrub bar from the mold, cut it into small segments, place the chunks afar in the silicon mold so as to make space for the shea butter bars to fill in the gap and make one exfoliating bathing bar.
  6. In the meantime, prepare the shea butter stripes.
  7. Take shea butter, cocoa butter, and coconut oil in the specified quantities in a clean container.
  8. Microwave it to make sure everything melts properly.
  9. After that add bergamot oil and honey in it and mix it well.
  10. Set aside this mixture for 25 minutes to cool down.
  11. Take out the silicone mold from the refrigerator.
  12. Fill in the empty spaces in the silicone mold between the brown sugar scrub bars with this mixture.
  13. Put it back in the refrigerator again.
  14. When it solidifies completely, take out the brown sugar-shea butter exfoliating scrub bathing bar from the silicone mold and store it in an airtight container.
  15. Use this scrub bathing bar in the shower instead of using a shower gel for a day to gently exfoliate and moisturize your skin at the same time.
  16. Follow up with a body oil of your choice after taking a shower to get the best results.
