Curry leaf and coconut oil for grey hair

Gray hair has become increasingly prevalent, often attributed to the impact of stress and pollution in modern life. Many individuals notice the onset of gray hair in their 30s and resort to using hair dyes to conceal it. However, it’s worth noting that this common hair issue can be addressed through the right diet and do-it-yourself (DIY) solutions. Today, I’ll be sharing a simple DIY remedy with you.

This DIY solution requires only two ingredients: coconut oil and curry leaves.

Curry leaves contribute a natural pigment to your hair, providing a darker appearance. Meanwhile, coconut oil serves as a protective and moisturizing agent for both the hair and scalp.

Here’s the step-by-step method:

  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 4 drops of curry leaf essential oil

  1. Melt the coconut oil: Begin by melting two tablespoons of coconut oil in a saucepan. After turning off the heat, add 10-12 curry leaves to the mixture.
  2. Infuse with essential oil: Allow the combination to sit for 20 minutes, and then introduce four drops of curry leaf essential oil.
  3. Massage into hair: Once the mixture has cooled sufficiently to touch, massage it into your hair, ensuring even distribution. Leave it on for a duration of 45 minutes to 2 hours.
  4. Shampoo and rinse: After the recommended duration, thoroughly shampoo and rinse your hair to remove the DIY solution.
  5. Repeat weekly: For optimal results, repeat this process once or twice a week as part of your hair care routine.

By incorporating this natural DIY remedy into your routine, you can potentially reverse the effects of gray hair, offering a chemical-free alternative to conventional hair dyes.
