Vitamin B present in curry leaves restores the functions of the natural pigment in the hair follicles that provides a shining black color to the hair strands and prevents further greying of hair. It also supplies essential nutrients to the hair and heals damaged hair roots. Being a rich source of beta-carotene, it stimulates hair growth and prevents hair fall. The benefits of coconut oil for hair and skin are numerous as well. It is the best natural conditioner for dry, rough hair that smoothens the open hair cuticles and makes hair lustrous, bouncy and manageable.

DIY Coconut oil-curry leaf hair oil recipe

Ingredients required:

  • Coconut Oil – 1 Cup
  • Curry Leaves – Handful

Procedure:

  1. Add the curry leaves to the oil and boil it for 6 to 8 minutes, or till the leaves turn black.
  2. Remove from flame and let it cool.
  3. Strain the oil in a container and massage your scalp and hair with this oil 3 to 4 times per week before going to bed.
  4. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning.
  5. Follow up with a nourishing hair conditioner and a serum to get the best results.

DIY coconut-oil-curry leaf-hibiscus hair oil to boost hair growth

Ingredients required:

  • Lemon juice: 40ml
  • Rose petals: petals of 1 rose
  • Curry leaves: 30 grams
  • Hibiscus flowers: 4
  • Camphor: 5 grams
  • Sesame oil: 20ml
  • Vitamin E capsules: 2
  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 130ml
  • Purified water: 100ml

Procedure:

  1. At first, take the rose petals, curry leaves, hibiscus flower petals, lemon juice and purified water in a blender.
  2. Blend it into a smooth paste with a runny texture.
  3. After that, run it through a sieve and extract the slimy liquid.
  4. Now take a separate container and add extra virgin coconut oil and sesame oil in it.
  5. Stir it for a while to make sure that everything gets mixed up well.
  6. No add the slimy liquid in coconut oil-sesame oil mixture.
  7. Bring the container to boil, in a low flame, making sure that the water from the slimy liquid boils.
  8. When the slimy liquid turns powdery, turn off the flame.
  9. When the concoction cools down, and it is slightly warm, then add camphor.
  10. Once everything cools down, transfer the contents in an empty wide-mouthed glass jar.
  11. Pop-out the contents of 2 vitamin E capsules in this mixture.
  12. Give it a good stir with a fork to make sure that everything gets mixed up properly.
  13. Comb your hair before using this hair oil to make sure that your locks are completely detangled.
  14. Then apply this hair oil with your finger-tips on your scalp.
  15. Wash it off using a regular shampoo.

Ingredients required:

  • Curry leaves: 1 big bowl
  • Holy basil leaves: 1 big bowl
  • Fenugreek seeds: 1 small bowl
  • Kalonji seeds: 1 small bowl
  • Aloe vera leaf: diced into small pieces
  • Camphor: 5-6
  • Coconut oil: as much as required
  • Mustard oil: 1 cup
  • Extra virgin olive oil: 1 cup
  • Neem oil: 1 cup
  • Hexane free castor oil: 1 cup
  • Sweet almond oil: 1 cup

Procedure:

  1. Add coconut oil in a pan and bring it to boil, heat it on a medium flame for while and then add curry leaves, basil leaves, and the diced aloe vera cubes.
  2. Let it boil until everything changes into a brown color.
  3. Once everything turns brown, add the fenugreek seeds and the kalonji seeds and let it boil for another minute.
  4. After that add mustard oil, olive oil, neem oil, castor oil and sweet almond oil in the container.
  5. Finally, add camphor.
  6. Stir everything well and cover the lid, keep it like that overnight.
  7. In the next morning, strain out everything in a clear glass container.
  8. To reap the maximum benefits, warm it up a little bit before every other application.
  9. Comb yours with a wide-toothed comb before applying this hair oil to make sure that your hair is detangled completely.
  10. Take a generous amount of this oil on your fingertips.
  11. Use it to massage your scalp with a light hand.
  12. You can either keep it overnight or wash it off with a mild shampoo after a few hours.
  13. Do not forget to follow up with a nourishing hair conditioner and a hair serum to get the best results.

Ingredients required:

  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 1 liter
  • Mustard seeds: 1 tablespoon

  • Cloves: 8
  • Grated amla: 7 tablespoons
  • Grated onion: 1
  • Henna leaves: a handful
  • Hibiscus leaves: a handful
  • Hibiscus flowers: 20
  • Holy basil leaves: a handful
  • Brahmi leaves: a handful
  • Curry leaves: a handful

  1. At first, take coconut oil in a pan then bring it to boil in medium flame for a while.
  2. Then add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, cloves, amla, and onion in coconut oil and mix it well.
  3. After that, add all the other ingredients and let it simmer until everything turns black.
  4. Let it cool down.
  5. Transfer the contents in an airtight container.
  6. Now it is ready to use.
  7. Take a little bit of this oil and use it to massage your scalp, also apply it to your hair strands, from the roots to the tips.
  8. You can either keep it overnight or wash it off with your regular shampoo after 1-2 hours.
  9. Follow up with a hair conditioner and a hair serum afterwards.

Ingredients required:

  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 500ml
  • Medium-sized onions: 4-5
  • Curry leaves: 1 big bowl

Procedure:

  1. Peel and chop the onions finely.
  2. Take coconut oil in a pan and bring it to boil.
  3. Once it starts to boil add the curry leaves in it.
  4. It may bubble up a little, but do not worry, it is normal.
  5. Then add the finely chopped onions in the mixture.
  6. Let it boil for another 40 minutes.
  7. After that, turn off the flame, cover the lid and leave it overnight.
  8. Strain out the contents in a glass container.
  9. Use this oil to massage your scalp and also apply it to your hair strands.
  10. Keep it overnight.
  11. Wash it off with a mild organic shampoo and follow up with a nourishing hair conditioner and a hair serum

DIY coconut oil-fenugreek seed-curry leaf herbal hair oil recipe

Ingredients required:

  • Fenugreek seeds: 1 tablespoon (approximately)
  • Curry leaves: 1 big bowl
  • Extra virgin coconut oil: as much as required

Procedure:

  1. Take fenugreek seeds and curry leaves in a pan and roast it for a while.
  2. After that, transfer the contents in a blender to make a finely granulated powder.
  3. Then, add as much coconut oil as much is required for a single application in a pan.
  4. Add the fenugreek seed-curry leaves powder in coconut oil.
  5. Turn on the flame.
  6. Keep stirring while it gets mixed up properly.
  7. Then turn off the flame, let this mixture cool down completely and then strain it out in an airtight container.
  8. Alternatively, you can use it fresh.
  9. Use a detangler to comb to detangle your locks beforehand.
  10. Then apply this hair oil on your scalp and your hair strands, massage it well.
  11. Keep it on for a few hours.
  12. After that, wash it off with a shampoo.
  13. Use a conditioner to lock in the nourishment.
  14. Follow up with a hair serum afterwards.
  15. Blow-dry your hair.

Ingredients required:

  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 200 ml
  • Curry leaves: a handful
  • Hibiscus flowers: 5

Procedure:

  1. Take the hibiscus flowers and curry leaves in a tray.
  2. Allow it to air dry for a day and wait until the ingredients release its moisture in the air.
  3. Then take a thick pan and place it on your gas stove.
  4. Turn on the flame and allow it to heat up for a while.
  5. Then, add coconut oil in it and let it simmer for another 4-5 minutes.
  6. Finally, add-in hibiscus flowers and curry leaves.
  7. The oil splatter if the ingredients are not completely devoid of their mixture.
  8. Turn the flame to its lowest.
  9. Let it simmer for some time, bear in mind that you need not boil anything, you just need to ensure that on ingredient gets infused into another.
  10. After that turn off the flame, cover the oil with a lid and set it aside overnight.
  11. Strain it out in a clean container.

  2. Crush the dried curry leaves into a fine powder.
  3. Add castor oil in coconut oil and mix it well.
  4. Next up, add curry leaf powder in it.
  5. Cover the container with a lid an keep it overnight.
  6. Strain it out in a glass container in the next morning.
  7. Use this hair oil on your scalp and hair strands.
  8. Wash it off with shampoo.
  9. Follow up with a hair conditioner and serum.
