Face packs for dry skin

Dry skin needs continuous moisturizing and if the moisturizer is not enough oily skin will dry again. In markets cleansers for dry skin are very costly as they come with fortifying oils and added beauty benefits, so the best way is to go for homemade cleansers as they are cost effective and also free from chemicals.


1. Oil cleansing

Oil is best for dry skin, especially in the evening this is the best. Mix 3 parts of olive oil and 1 part of castor oil and apply it on the face. After an hour take a wash cloth, soak it in warm water. Cover your face with this cloth and hold it until it cools. It will remove all extra oil and you will get soft and glowing skin

2. Honey face pack

As I have already pointed many times that honey is very effective for dry skin, it smoothens out the skin’s wrinkles and leaves it silky and soft. Prepare a mixture of honey and orange juice, apply it on the face. Gently rub this pack on your skin, wash off your face after some time.

3. Egg yolk for dry skin

Mix one egg yolk thoroughly with a table spoon of orange juice, a teaspoon of castor oil, a teaspoon of olive oil, some rose water, a spoonful of honey and a few drops of freshly squeezed lime juice. This mixture can be applied every morning before taking a bath and then washed off.

4. Egg and honey

Take one egg and add a teaspoon of honey to it. Mix well. Then add rose water and a few drops of lime to it. Make sure the mix is not too runny. Apply on face and let it dry. Wash it off with warm water and follow it up with a curd pack.

5. Curd pack

Take two tablespoons of curd and add honey to it. Apply to face and leave it for an hour before washing it off.

6. Plumeria flower face mask to moisturize dry and flaky skin

This face pack not only hydrates your skin but also provides your skin with anti-aging benefits.

Ingredients required:

  • Crushed plumeria flower petal paste: 2 tablespoons
  • Milk cream: 2 tablespoons
  • Gram flour: 1 tablespoon
  • Wild turmeric powder: half a teaspoon
  • Face pack applicator: 1
  • Face towel: 1

Procedure:

  1. First of all, Add all the ingredients in a container.
  2. After that, mix everything well until you achieve a face pack like consistency.
  3. Then, wipe your face with a wet wipe to clean your face.
  4. Apply a thick layer of this face pack on your face and neck with your face pack applicator.
  5. Keep it on for about 30 minutes.
  6. Wipe it off with a face towel
  7. Rinse off with tepid water if your skin feels sticky.
  8. Apply a toner.
  9. Lastly, follow up with a moisturizer and spritz on a facial mist on top of the moisturizer.

Frequency:

  • Apply this face pack once in a week to get the best results.

7. Cucumber Face Pack

Cucumber is packed with beneficial properties for the body and the skin. It helps to revitalize the skin by hydrating it amply to rid it of its dryness. Moreover, it supplies the essential nutrients of potassium and vitamin E to the skin.

Ingredients required:

  • Cucumber: 1/2 of it
  • Sugar: 1 tbsp

Procedure:

  1. First of all, take half of a cucumber and then mash it up to obtain a pulpy paste.
  2. After that, combine that with a tbsp of sugar to form a mixture and cool it down by keeping it in the fridge for a bit.
  3. After that, use the mixture to massage your face and let is stay there for about 10 minutes.

8. Avocado, Honey, and Milk Face Pack

  • Mashed avocado: 2 tsp
  • Honey: 1 tsp
  • Milk cream: 1 tsp
  • Rosewater: a few drops

Procedure:

  1. First of all, take an avocado and mash it up to obtain a pulpy paste.
  2. After that, combine about 2 tsp of the mashed avocado with all the other ingredients in a mixing bowl to obtain a smooth and consistent paste.
  3. After that, use the mixture to massage your face using gentle circular motions and let it stay there until it dries off.

8. Banana and Olive oil Face Pack
