Sandalwood helps to calm down the irritated skin and get rid of inflammation as well as redness. It helps to stop the itching and prevents the formation of more bumps on the skin. Rose water helps to balance the pH level of the skin.

Ingredients:

  • Sandalwood powder – 4 tablespoons
  • Rosewater – 6 or 7 tablespoons

How to:

  1. To the sandalwood powder, add cold rose water to make a smooth paste.
  2. Place this mixture in the refrigerator for 10 to 12 minutes.
  3. Apply this paste on the affected areas of the skin.
  4. Let the paste dry out.
  5. Wash the paste using cold water.
  6. Use this remedy once a day till you get the desired results.

Baking soda

Baking soda helps to exfoliate the skin gently and unclog the pores. Thus it helps to prevent further infection and soothes the skin.   • Baking soda – 2 tablespoons
  • Cold water – 2 cups

How to:

  1. Mix the baking soda with the water.
  2. Take a clean cloth and soak it in this water.
  3. Wring out the excess water from the cloth.
  4. Now place this wet cloth on the affected area of skin and let it stay for 10 minutes.
  5. You need not wash your skin after this.

Aloe Vera gel and Tea Tree Oil

Aloe Vera gel has cooling properties and helps to moisturize the skin. It helps to soothe inflammation instantly and heals the skin. Aloe Vera gel also helps to keep the skin hydrated as heat rashes may lead to dry skin. Tea tree oil is an age-old remedy used for treating skin infections. It is also a great remedy for treating heat rashes because it has antibacterial properties which prevent infections and further discomfort.

Ingredients:

  • Aloe vera gel – 1 cup
  • Tea tree essential oil 7-8 drops

How to:

  1. Add the tea tree essential oil to the aloe vera gel and mix well.
  2. Make sure the oil is well mixed with the gel.
  3. Pour this gel into an ice tray and freeze for a few hours.
  4. Rub one ice cube onto the affected areas.
  5. You need not wash the skin after this.

  • Mint leaves – 50 grams
