Home remedies to get strong nails

Nails get weak when they dry out and become brittle. Week nails may break easily, also they may have signs of yellowing and discoloration. If your nails look dull and unhealthy, try the highly effective home remedies that I have listed down below for your convenience. After dipping your nails in these concoctions, apply cuticle oil on your nail beds and gently massage it in to get the best results. However, if you have extremely sensitive skin then conduct a patch test before hand.

1. Use Olive oil to protect your nails

What to do:

  1. Olive oil is an excellent remedy for weak nails.
  2. The oil helps moisturize the nails.
  3. It also helps repair damage and softens nails and cuticles, which in turn leads to strong and healthy nails.
  4. Massage your nails thoroughly with some warm olive oil, covering both the top and underside of your nails.
  5. Wait 15 minutes, then wash it off with water.
  6. Do this 2 or 3 times daily to get the best results.
  7. Alternatively, you can also mix together 3 teaspoons of warm olive oil and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
  8. Apply this mixture to your nails using a cotton swab. Allow it to dry, then put on a pair of soft, cotton gloves.

4. Use Flaxseeds to protect your nails

  1. Flaxseeds can also make your nails stronger.
  2. The micronutrients in flaxseeds, such as B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, lecithin, zinc, and protein, are necessary for nail health.
  3. In addition, they have omega-3 fatty acids required for healthy nails.
  4. Rub some flaxseed oil on your nails and massage gently for a few minutes before going to bed.

8. Use beer to protect your nail beds

What to do:
