Homemade Face Wash

Cleansing your face with a face wash is the most important part of the skin routine. It not only removes all the dirt and dust from our face but also cleanses the pores deeply and makes us feel refreshed. A good face wash thoroughly removes all the bacteria and dust particles from our face. Also, face wash helps in preventing acne and black heads by cleansing our skin pores from deep within.

There are several face washes available in the market but they might contain harmful ingredients like paraben, which causes acne. So, it is better to use a home made face wash which has no side effects and is made purely with natural ingredients.

So following are the various ways to make a homemade face wash for yourself:


GRAM FLOUR FACE WASH

Ingredients:

  • Gram flour: 1 tbsp
  • Multani mitti: 1/2 tbsp
  • Rose water: as per the requirement

STEPS

  1. Add a tablespoon of gram flour to half a tablespoon of multani mitti.
  2. Mix the two ingredients together.
  3. Store this mixture in an air tight container.
  4. Whenever you use it, take 2 tsp of this mixture and add 2 teaspoons (or as per the requirement) of rose water to it.
  5. Apply it on your face and massage in circular motion.
  6. Then, rinse it off with normal water and pat dry your skin.
  7. Wash your face with this face wash at least 2 times a day for best results.

Gram flour makes your complexion fair and cleanses the skin pores deeply. Multani mitti removes all the dirt and dust from the face and controls excess oil production. Rose water eases the application and also soothes your skin.

HONEY AND CURD FACE WASH

Ingredients:

  • Honey: 1 tsp
  • Curd: 2 tsp

STEPS

  1. Add a teaspoon of honey to a bowl.
  2. Then, add two teaspoons of curd to it.
  3. Mix the two ingredients properly.
  4. Apply this to your face and massage in circular motion.
  5. Rinse it off with warm water and pat dry your face.
  6. Wash your face with this face wash 2 times a day.

Curd removes the impurities from your face and honey makes sure your skin is well moisturised. Honey helps in treating dry and patchy skin by nourishing your skin from deep within.

TOMATO FACE WASH

Ingredients:

  • Tomato: 1
  • Milk: 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice: 1 tsp
  • Muslin cloth: 1

STEPS

  1. Chop a tomato into small pieces and then grind it in a mixer.
  2. Using a muslin cloth, strain the tomato juice in a bowl.
  3. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice to this mixture and two teaspoons of milk.
  4. Mix all the ingredients together.
  5. Apply this to your face and massage your face in circular motion.
  6. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat dry your skin.

Tomato deeply cleanses the skin and also makes your skin 2 shades fair. Milk moisturises the skin and makes your skin supple and nourished. Lemon juice contains vitamin C, it controls excess oil production and thus prevents acne.

ORANGE PEEL FACE WASH

Ingredients:

  • Orange: 1
  • Multani mitti: 3 tsp
  • Sandalwood powder: 1 tsp
  • Rose water: 1 tbsp

STEPS

  1. Peel an orange and break the orange peels into small pieces.
  2. Let the orange peels dry in sun for a day or two.
  3. Once the orange peels are dried, grind them in a mixer until it turns into a powder.
  4. Add 3 teaspoons of multani mitti and a teaspoons of sandalwood powder to this mixture.
  5. Store this mixture in an air tight container.
  6. Whenever you want to use it, take a teaspoon of this mixture and add a teaspoon of rose water to it.
  7. Apply it to your face and massage in upward circular motion.
  8. Then, rinse your face with normal water and pat dry your face.
  9. Wash your face with this face 2 times a day for a glowing an d acne free skin.

Orange peel powder contains vitamin C which cleanses the skin from deep within and also prevents acne. Multani mitti removes all the dirt from your face and also controls the excess oil production on your face. Sandalwood powder is cool in nature and hence soothes and cools down the skin. Rose water eases the application and acts as a natural skin toner.

CHICKPEA FLOUR FACE WASH

Ingredients:

  • Chickpea flour: 2 tsp
  • Milk: 2 tsp

STEPS

  1. Add two teaspoons of chickpea flour to two teaspoons of milk.
  2. Mix both the ingredients together.
  3. Apply this mixture to your face and massage your face in circular motion.
  4. Then, rinse it off with normal water and pat dry your face.
  5. Wash your face with this face wash 2 times a day.

Chickpea flour cleanses the skin and removes all the impurities from your face. Milk makes sure your skin is well nourished and moisturised. It also treats dry skin.
