About the Persimmon Fruit
Persimmon fruit is a form of berry that is found mainly in Far East Asia. It was originated in China and introduced in Korea, Japan, India and Pakistan. Only later on it was brought out to the west in Europe, America and other countries. It is the national fruit of Japan.
