Natarajasana

How to:

  1. Stand firmly to make sure your balance and posture is correct.
  2. Hold your left ankle with your left hand.
  3. Place your right hand on your right knee for support.
  4. Now holding your left ankle firmly, lead forward and start raising your right arm forward.
  5. Hold the position for 15 seconds and then release slowly.
  6. Do this pose 8-10 times.

How this helps:

This is also known as the Lord of the Dance pose. It helps in weight management by stretching the muscles of things and the arms. It also helps in maintaining a good posture. It also enhances the digestive functions.


Navasana

How to:

  1. Lie down flat on your back.
  2. Rest your arms besides your body.
  3. Take in a deep breath.
  4. Begin exhaling and while doing this, gently lift your chest and feet from the ground.
  5. Try to bring your arms towards your feet.
  6. You may feel a little bit of tension in the abdominal area as well.
  7. Hold the pose for a few seconds.
  8. Slowly rest yourself back to the ground.
  9. Do this asana 10 times.

How this helps:

The boat pose helps in releasing stress and maintain the body posture. As it starches the abdominal muscles, it helps in weight loss as well. It also helps in toning the muscles and helps you to achieve a toned look.

Vriksha Asana

How to:

  1. Stand straight with your arms at the side of your body.
  2. Now bend your knee and start lifting your right foot.
  3. Place it on the left thigh. Make sure the sole of your foot is placed firmly so that you do not lose balance.
  4. Keep your left leg straight while doing this yoga pose.
  5. Take a deep breath in.
  6. Raise your hands above your head and bring your arms together in the hand folded position.
  7. Hold the pose for at least 30 seconds to one minute.
  8. Exhale slowly as your bring your hands down.
  9. Repeat the yoga pose using the other leg.
  10. Do this yoga pose 12 times daily.

Also known as the tree pose, this asana helps in reducing anxiety and makes one calm and stress free. It can also help in weight loss with minimum effort and will also help in straightening the spine in order to slowly get rid of back pain.

Ustraasana

How to:

  1. Kneel down and place your hands on your hips.
  2. Your feet should be facing the ceiling.
  3. Place your palms on your feet and slowly begin to bend backwards.
  4. Make sure you stretch enough to feel a pull at your navel.
  5. Keep your neck in a neutral position without overstretching it.
  6. Stay in this position for 15-20 seconds.
  7. Repeat this asana 5 times with intervals of 10 seconds.

How this helps:

This yoga pose lays emphasis on the digestive system and is very helpful in preventing bowel problems. It helps in stretching and improving flexibility.
