Recipe for home made lip balm

Homemade lip balm is best for your lips and its very easy to prepare them. Also as they are made from all-natural ingredients they are very safe to use.

What you need:

Beeswax,
Coconut oil,
Honey,
vitamin e capsules,

Method

Take 1 tablespoon of beeswax, melt it. When about half of the beeswax is no longer solid, add 1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil and raw honey.

After all is melted, blend it and mix the content of 2 vitamin E capsules to it. Store this in a container and let it cool. Your lip balm is ready to use

If you want a colorful lip balm, add a little bit of your lipstick before pouring the mixture into a container when all are melted.

Make your chocolate-mint lip balm at home

This aromatic lip balm will moisturize lips and prevent them from chaffing or drying out. If you are looking out for a chemical-free lip balm then replace your regular lip balm with this one.

Ingredients required: 

  • Beeswax: 6 teaspoons
  • Avocado oil: 1 teaspoon
  • Strainer: 1
  • Shea butter: 2 teaspoons
  • Mint leaf paste: 2 teaspoons
  • Cocoa butter: small chunk equivalent to 1 tablespoon
  • Geranium essential oil: 4-5 drops
  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 1 teaspoon
  • Hexane free castor oil: half a teaspoon
  • Cocoa powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Empty lip balm container: 1

Procedure:

  1. At first, add avocado oil, coconut oil, castor oil, and beeswax in a container and microwave for 2 minutes.
  2. Melt shea butter and cocoa butter separately using the double boiler method, do not use a microwave as it may alter the chemical composition.
  3. Let these concoctions cool down.
  4. Use a strainer to strain out mint juice.
  5. Mix mint juice and cocoa powder separately.
  6. After that mix everything together, add a few drops of the geranium essential oil at last.
  7. Transfer the contents in an empty lip balm container.
  8. Refrigerate overnight.
  9. Use this lip balm whenever your lips feel dried out.
  10. Refrigerate after every use.

Homemade papaya-saffron lip balm

This lip balm will cure pigmentation and impart a slightly reddish-orange tinge when you apply it on your lips.

Ingredients required: 

  • Beeswax: 4 teaspoons
  • Peppermint essential oil: 3-4 drops
  • Mango butter: 1 teaspoon
  • Strainer: 1
  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Zinc oxide powder: half a teaspoon
  • Saffron: 10-12 threads
  • Manuka honey: 1 teaspoon
  • Empty lip balm container: 1
  • Mashed papaya seeds: half a teaspoon
  • Purified water: 2 tablespoons

Procedure:

  1. Soak the saffron threads and papaya seed pulp in water overnight.
  2. Strain out the solution in the morning and add zinc oxide powder in it and keep stirring until it forms a lump-free paste with a runny texture.
  3. Microwave coconut oil and beeswax for 75 seconds for melting.
  4. Let it cool down completely.
  5. Now add mango butter, peppermint oil, zinc oxide concoction, manuka honey, beeswax-coconut oil mixture in a container.
  6. Mix it well until it forms a white, semi-solid textured lip balm.
  7. Transfer the contents in an empty lip balm container.
  8. Refrigerate overnight.
  9. Use it whenever your lips are in need of intense moisturization.
  10. Refrigerate after every use.

  • Use this lip balm every night before going to bed to get the best results.

Raspberry Gelatin and Lemon essential oil Homemade Lip Balm 

This is a great lip balm to improve the pigmentation of the lips and making them pinker and softer.

Ingredients required: 

  • Raspberry gelatin mix: 2 tsp
  • Virgin coconut oil: 2 tbsp
  • Lemon essential oil: 3-4 drops

Procedure:

  1. First of all, take the coconut oil and heat it up to melt it to a liquid state.
  2. After that, take a microwave-friendly mixing bowl and add the liquefied coconut oil with the raspberry gelatin mix and keep it in the microwave until the gelatin melts and they form a smooth raspberry-colored mixture.
  3. Then, take it out and add the lemon essential oil to the mixture.
  4. Lastly, pour the resultant mixture into a lip balm tube and freeze it until it becomes solid. Then, it is ready to use!

Coconut, beeswax, and Peppermint essential oil Homemade Lip Balm 

This is a nice and safe lip balm to provide some nourishment and hydration to the lips to make them plump and soft. Moreover, it is extremely simple and quick to make too.

Ingredients required: 

  • Yellow beeswax pellets: 1 tbsp
  • Coconut oil: 1 tbsp
  • Peppermint essential oil: 3 drops

Procedure:

  1. First of all, take the beeswax pellets in a microwaveable bowl and microwave it in high settings for about 45 seconds.
  2. After that, take the bowl out, and add the coconut oil to it, then put it in and heat it again for another 45 seconds.
  3. Now, make sure that everything is melted and mixed together, keep microwaving in 30 second periods until it is all fully melted.
  4. Then, add in the peppermint essential oil to the bowl and back to the microwave, it goes for another 15 seconds of microwaving.
  5. Lastly, pour the resultant balm into the lip balm tubes quickly before it hardens as it will do so quickly, within 5 minutes. You can heat it up again if it does so it is not that big of a deal. Now, your homemade lip balm is ready to use.
