Skin Whitening Facial at Home

There are a lot of ingredients present in your kitchen which are fully capable of stopping you from going to the parlor ever again. Whether it is just light makeup or a total outlook overhaul, the food items you have are sufficient for the trick. Here are five facials involving simple household items which will give you a glowing bright skin naturally at with no cost.

Turmeric Facial

You Will Need:

  • 2 Tablespoons of Gram Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons of Raw Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon of Turmeric

How To:

  1. Put both the dry ingredients in a small cup and mix them together.
  2. Add a couple tablespoons of raw milk in the mixture and stir them to make a thick yellow paste. You can heat the milk a little for better consistency.
  3. Apply this paste on your face and spread it over the entire area.
  4. Leave the paste for 15-20 minutes until the turmeric and gram flour dries completely on your face.
  5. Wash off the paste with some lukewarm water and then pat the skin dry with a clean towel.
  6. Use this remedy two to three times a week for getting a glowing skin.

Turmeric paste has been used since ages to improve the skin complexion of a groom and bride before their wedding. Best part of this remedy is that it can be used by people who are not about to get married as well.

Lemon and Potato

You Will Need:

  • 1 Potato
  • 1 Tablespoon of Lemon

How To:

  1. Peel a small potato and cut it into very thin long slices. Mash these slices to make a thick pulpy paste.
  2. Pour a tablespoon of lemon juice in the pulp and then mix them together to make a paste.
  3. Wash your face with lukewarm water first and then apply a layer of paste all over it.
  4. Let the paste sit for 20 odd minutes before washing it off with water.
  5. This wonderful lemon and potato paste is quite light on the skin so you can use it on every alternate day for brightening up the skin.

Lemon contains Vitamin C which makes it a very good bleaching agent. It removes dark spots, hyperpigmentation, dark circles, and also improves the skin tone making it a little lighter.

Rice and Tea

You Will Need:

  • 3 Tablespoons of Rice
  • 2 Tablespoons of Tea Leaves

How To:

  1. Grind the rice to obtain a fine powder or rice flour.
  2. Brew a cup of tea with a couple of tablespoons of tea leaves and then strain the leaves out.
  3. Add the rice flour in cooled tea and mix them to make a thick paste. Make sure there are no lumps in the paste.
  4. Gently spread this paste on your face and neck region and then massage it for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Leave the paste on for an additional 10 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water.
  6. Repeat this process three to four times in a week to get naturally glowing skin in a month.

This homemade facial pack has the combined benefits of anitoxidants from tea leaves and starch from the rice flour. Regular use will not only give your skin a glow and make it light up, it will clear all the blemishes on the skin.

Sandalwood and Orange Peel

You Will Need:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Orange Peel Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of Sandalwood Powder
  • Water

How To:

  1. Mix both the dry ingredeints in a small bowl first. You can make fresh orange peel powder by yourself for better results.
  2. Now, add some water to the bowl and then mix the ingredients together. Keep adding a little water until a thick consistent paste in obtained.
  3. Apply this paste on a clean face and neck, gently scrubbing the skin for a minute or so.
  4. The sandalwood has a cooling effect which will come out after 10-15 minutes of application.
  5. Use lukewarm water and a warm moist towel to wash off the dried paste bby scrubbing it off your skin.
  6. This procedure can be repeated two to three times in a week to improve the complexion of your skin.

Orange peel is rich in vitamin C and calcium. It relieves the oxidative stress on our skin and neutralizes the skin damage making the complexion of skin brighter. It also exfoliates, soothens and tones the skin simultaneoulsy.

Milk Cream and Walnuts

You Will Need:

  • 5-6 Walnuts
  • 1 Tablespoon of Milk Cream

How To:

  1. Break open some walnuts and then put them in a cup of water to soak overnight.
  2. Strain the water and crush the walnuts to make a thick grainy paste.
  3. Add a tablespoon of milk cream to the paste to make it a little thin and maintain the consistency.
  4. Massage this paste on your face with soft circular motions for a couple of minutes.
  5. Leave the paste applied on your face for half an hour before washing it off with lukewarm water.
  6. Repeat this remedy twice or thrice a week as a homemade DIY skin whitening cream.

Walnuts are a rich source of Vitamin E and B along with antioxidants, a lot of antioxidants. A mixture with milk cream regenerates new cells and revitalizes the skin to improve the skin tone.
