Glowing skin is a dream of every girl but in reality, everyone wants to have a glowing skin. ?For men, it is not the most important thing but they also wish to have a flawless skin. So here are the few tips for them
1. Wash your face everyday twice
Wash your face with a gentle face wash twice every day, in the morning and in the night before going to bed. Men are always in hurry, but I will suggest to reserve at least 2 minutes time for this, gently apply face wash with your finger tips in a circular motion, especially on T-section and then wash it off
2. Moisturize your face
Whenever you wash your face, apply moisturizer after it within 3-5 minutes.
When looking for a face moisturizer, make sure it says non comedogenic somewhere on the package or bottle. This means it will not block your pores and cause break outs.
3. Exfoliate your face twice in a week
Exfoliation is necessary to remove dead skin cells, it will allow new cells to appear. For face two time exfoliation per week is enough, for body, you can do it daily. I know you are not going to prepare home made scrubbing cream, just buy a good one from the market and use it to exfoliate your face, just apply it on your face and rub it with your finger tips or you can also use a toothbrush for this purpose.
Do not forget to apply moisturizer after this
For other body parts put some body wash on a loofah and scrub your body
4. Use sun protection
You’ve probably heard it plenty of times before, but prevention is easier than the cure. Wear sunscreen, a hat, sensible clothes now, to avoid poor skin when you’re older. Even if you aren’t supposed to be out in the sun for long, always apply a sunscreen. Go for option with at least an SPF of 30. Excessive exposure to the harmful UV rays of the sun can have highly damaging consequences like it can even lead to skin cancer. So, always apply sunscreen as prevention is always better than the cure.
5. Use acne protection
If you get acne, blemishes. Use products that have salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide. A good routine is using a good soap that has at least two percent salicylic acid and then a topical lotion like Oxy 10 that has five to ten percent benzoyl peroxide. Start by using it just in the morning and work up to twice a day on your face, shoulders, back, and wherever else you tend to break out.
6. Eat healthily and drink enough water
This is essential for the health of anyone. And it has significant and clearly apparent effects on the skin as well. What we put inside our body supplies to every part and nourishes every part including the skin. Thus, eating a healthy and well-balanced diet will mean that your skin is getting all the nutrients it needs to stay healthy and look great too. Same goes with water, it is one of the most crucial of life. So, you should drink the required amount of water every day so that your skin does not get dehydrated as that speeds up its aging and makes it look dull and lifeless.
7. Take vitamin supplements every day
Some of the skin care problems occur due to an improper diet or if there is a lack of adequate nutrients in your diet. Take a multi-vitamin and multi-mineral tablet after consulting your doctor to make sure your skin is not deprived of any essential nutrient.
8. Exercise everyday
Make sure you exercise every day and sweat a lot, this will let your body release free radicals and give you a naturally glowing skin. If you have no time to hit the gym, then go for brisk walks or jog early morning.
9. Use a charcoal peel-off mask
Charcoal peel-off masks are easily available in the market nowadays. Generally, men skip the salon, hence it is best if they use a charcoal peel-off mask once in a while to get rid of the dead skin cells, blackheads and whiteheads from the face.
10. Use appropriate products that are suitable for your needs
You might be tempted to share beauty and healthcare products with your partner as that is more convenient but the results won’t be nearly as effective. This is because the skin is quite different for men and women. Men have thicker, rougher skin which is tougher than the female counterparts. This due to the higher levels of male hormones in their body which provides these characteristics to the skin. Furthermore, the growth of facial hair also makes their skin more prone to getting clogged up and develop issues like an ingrown hair. That is why it is important to get products which are suitable for men’s skin.
11. Give up unhealthy habits
Most men do indulge in activities which are detrimental and harmful to the overall health and the health of the skin like smoking and drinking alcohol. These two things are not only injurious to the overall health, but they also affect the skin in a clear and harmful way. It makes the skin dull and lifeless and causes its darkening too. So, it will be much harder to achieve glowing skin if you indulge in these habits regularly.
12. Get plenty of rest to keep the skin and the body healthy
People wrongly underestimate the power of sleep and rest. Our body is working all the time and it needs to recharge its batteries if it is to keep performing at its peak level. And our body recharges its batteries by sleeping. So, there is a certain amount of rest that the body absolutely needs if it is to stay healthy and fresh. These effects do translate onto the skin as well which means if you are not getting enough rest, it will be apparent from your skin as well. You skin will look dull and you will carry an overall tired look. So, always strive to get around 8 hours of sleep everyday so that you and your skin keep on looking healthy and fresh.
