Baking soda

Baking soda is a natural antacid because of its basic properties, it helps cure sour stomach by neutralizing the extra acid in the stomach. It promotes burping in this way relieving you of nausea and bloating. Doctors prescribe sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) sometimes to make your blood and urine less acidic in certain conditions. It comes as a tablet or loose powder. The powder baking soda is to be used by mixing one tablespoon of baking soda and water and drinking it at once. You can have it on regular intervals of few hours, depending on your condition then. However it is suggested that baking soda should be consumed for one to four times in a day only.

 

Aloe vera juice

The alkaline nature of aloe vera juice helps in neutralizing the excess acid in your stomach and also has soothing effects on the inner lining of the digestive tract. It helps in increasing the speed of the healing process of sour stomach and helps in digestion too. To use aloe vera you need to cut the base of an aloe vera leaf to let the sap ooze out and then cut it from the middle and remove its gel. Add two tablespoons of it to a glass of water and drink it. You can have 2-3 glasses of aloe vera juice in a day. You can store the extra aloe vera extracts for up to 10 days in a refrigerator.

Papaya is a well-known remedy for the sour stomach as it helps clean and detoxifies your stomach, to begin with. It helps to remove all symptoms of indigestion such as flatulence, bloating and burning sensation. Ripe papaya for best results is to be consumed raw. Eat a fresh cup of papaya half an hour before your meals. You can two to three cups of papaya in a day.

 

Juices for sour stomach :

Orange juice helps in relaxing the digestive system and also supplies your body with a lot of essentials nutrients. How often do you need to have it? One or two glasses a day. But, drink it before meals only.

Lemon juice helps in relieving bloating, gas and heartburn. Lemon juice helps improve digestion ad enhances bile flow to the stomach. Drink lemon juice by adding two teaspoons of lemon juice to warm water at regular intervals of 4-5 hours as and when required.

 

Green Tea

Green tea being rich in antioxidants helps detoxify your body and stomach. It also helps reduce acidity levels in the stomach. To consume green tea add 1-2 teaspoons of green tea leaves or a tea bag and steep it in a cup of water. Strain it after that and consume. You can consume two to three cups of green tea in a day.
