Top 12 Home Remedies To Get Beautiful Long Eyelashes

The length and the health of eyelashes are determined by genetics, there are certain natural ways to make your eyelashes grow. Here are the best home remedies to grow fuller, lustrous, longer and thicker eye-lashes. Try using these remedies for 2 weeks and you will notice a remarkable difference in the length, volume, and darkening of your lashes.


1. Coconut Oil or Castor Oil or Olive oil :
These oils are said to lengthen your lashes when applied with a clean mascara wand and left on overnight. Whichever oil you have on hand should do the trick. After 2-3 months of the consistent application, you should start to see fuller, longer and healthier lashes.

2. Petroleum Jelly :

Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline) applied to lashes with a clean lash comb or mascara wand or ear bud will help moisturize your lashes and help them to appear thicker and healthier. The increased moisture may help stimulate the follicles and help those lashes grow.

3. Vitamin E Eyelash Serum :

Mix 10 drops of castor oil, liquid from 3 vitamin E capsules (Use a needle to extract the oil from the vitamin E capsules ) and 5 drops of almond oil in the cleaned old mascara tube. Apply this serum to eyelashes every night before going to bed.

4. Aloe vera Eyelash Serum:
Wash out an old mascara or nail polish container and refill 1/4 of the container with Castor Oil, 1/2 Vitamin E Oil, 1/4 Aloe Vera Gel. Mix together as well as you can with the mascara wand/nail polish brush, and apply a light layer to lashes and/or brows every night before bed. Castor oil thickens while aloe vera lengthens. Vitamin E accelerates growth. Give it a month for best results.

5. Vitamins Vitamin H (Biotin): This vitamin helps to strengthen hair and helps with hair growth. Vitamin H (Biotin) is found in several foods like whole grains, pecans, almonds, sardines, and bananas. Leafy green vegetables and peanuts are a rich source for Biotin.
Vitamin C helps to keep hair from becoming brittle and breaking and can be found in foods like citrus fruits, and some leafy vegetables.
Vitamin E also helps to keep hair healthy, and like vitamin C, helps to block free radicals. Vitamin E can be found in some leafy vegetables as well as avocados, broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes, and mangoes.

6. Olive oil-lemon juice liquid eye serum

Ingredients  required:

  • Cold-pressed coconut oil: 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice: half a teaspoon
  • Vitamin E oil: 3 drops
  • Old mascara wand or spoolie: 1

Process:

  1. Add all the ingredients in an airtight container and shake it well to mix everything.
  2. After that, all you have to do is dip the tip of your spoolie in this concoction.
  3. Wiggle your spoolie through your upper and lower eyelashes to apply a thin layer of this serum on your eyelashes.
  4. Keep it overnight.
  5. Wash off with lukewarm water the next morning.

Frequency:

  • Apply this eyelash serum every night before going to bed to get the best results.

7. Shea Butter:

Shea butter contains nutrients in it which nourish the eyelash hairs very well and consequently promote their health and growth. It holds vitamins A and E in it which help make the eyelashes stronger and longer by stimulating their growth. Using it is as simple as just using it as a cream or application onto your eyelashes. Just take a little bit of shea butter in your fingertips and massage it gently onto your eyelashes before you go to bed. When you wake up in the morning, rinse it off. You will soon see your lashes becoming longer and stronger.

8. A mixture of Olive, almond, and coconut oil:

You can blend the above-mentioned three oils together and use the result as a serum for the eyelash health and length. These three together, are packed with basically all the essential nutrients that hair need to grow long and strong. This provides a lot of proteins along with moisturizing properties and other nutrients to make the hair stronger but still softer. To use it, just prepare the blend and apply it onto your eyelashes using gentle massaging motions. Rinse it off after a few hours and follow this remedy every day to grow your eyelashes out.

9. Green Tea:

Green tea is a rich source of anti-oxidants and a polyphenol called epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). Thus, it is very effective in helping to protect your body and hair from undue damage whereas ECGC is known to have a positive effect on hair growth as it is known to stimulate it. To harness green tea’s benefits, you can start drinking it regularly or you can also use it as a topical application if you think that’d more effective. Just brew the tea, let it cool down, then gently massage it onto your lashes using a cotton swab.

Lemon peel is effective in helping the lashes grow longer because it contains vitamins A and C which helps stimulate the growth of hair. To use it, take a lemon peel and soak it in olive oil. This could be quite an effective solution to hydrate the eyelashes properly due to its emollient nature which helps attract and seal in the moisture in the hair. To use it, just take a little bit of it and then apply it gently onto your eyelashes and even lids as this go along just fine with skin too.
