Use baking soda to reduce pimples

By Glowpink Staff

First, let me explain to you how baking soda works on pimples

In terms of chemistry pH imbalance is the most common cause of acne and baking soda is an amphoteric it means it can act as an acid and base both. In this way, it can help to neutralize any pH imbalances on the skin. When mixed with water, baking soda forms a fine, gritty paste which helps to clean and exfoliate the skin, removing oil, dirt and dead skin cells.

Note: If you have sensitive skin, be careful while using baking soda because it can dry your skin and sometimes causes redness and irritation in people with sensitive skin.

How to use baking soda on acne/pimples

1. Clean your face
2. Mix two tablespoon of baking soda with water to form a paste
3. Apply this paste on pimples and leave it for 15 minutes
4. rinse it

Some experts suggest to leave it overnight, nut it will dry your skin so I don’t recommend this.
