Coconut provides a host of skincare benefits. It keeps your skin moisturized, reduces inflammation to a great extent, and it also heals irritated and chaffed skin. Before using this ingredient you need to know about your skin type and only add the right ingredient to reap the maximum benefits from the face pack. If you have oily, acne prone sensitive skin then use tender coconut water. If you have dry skin then use extra virgin coconut oil and if you have combination skin, then opt for finely grounded coconut flour.

Wild turmeric-coconut face mask for oily skin

Tender coconut water is loaded with Vitamin A, Vitamin B complex, Vitamin K and other essential minerals and nutrients that replenish your skin from within besides that. It also controls excess sebum production and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Wild turmeric contains curcumin that lightens skin tone, reduces inflammation and clears acne.

Ingredients: 

  • Tender coconut water: 3 cups
  • Chickpea gram flour: 5 teaspoons
  • Yogurt: 2 teaspoons
  • Wild turmeric powder: half a teaspoon
  • Manuka honey: 2 teaspoons
  • Face pack brush: 1

Process:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a clean container.
  2. Clean your face with herbal neem or green tea based cleanser.
  3. Spritz some rose water on your face before applying this face pack.
  4. Take a generous amount of this face pack and apply it evenly all over your face when the rose water dries out.
  5. Keep it on for at least half an hour.
  6. Rinse off with cold water.
  7. Follow up with a light moisturizer.

Frequency:

This face pack should be applied at least twice a week with an interval of 3 days in between prior to the night time skin care regime to get the best results.

Coconut oil-Manuka honey face mask for dry skin

Ingredients: 

  • Turmeric powder: half a teaspoon
  • Lemon juice: half a teaspoon
  • Raw manuka honey: 1 teaspoon
  • Extra virgin coconut oil: 3 tablespoons, gently melted
  • Face pack brush: 1

Process:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, make sure it has a medium consistency.
  2. Cleanse your face with an organic basil face wash, to maximize the benefits.
  3. Apply a toner, wait for it to completely dry out.
  4. Then, take a generous amount of this face pack and apply it evenly all over your face.
  5. Keep it on for at least half an hour.
  6. Rinse off with cold water.
  7. Follow up with a glycolic acid based toner and a light moisturizer.

Frequency:

To get the best results, apply this face pack 2-3 times in a week.

Coconut flour face mask for combination skin

Ingredients: 

  • Turmeric powder: half a teaspoon
  • Raw manuka honey: 1 teaspoon
  • Freshly extracted coconut flour: 3 tablespoons
  • Face pack brush: 1

Process:

  1. Mix these ingredients to make a face pack of medium consistency.
  2. Clean your face with an aloe vera based face wash.
  3. Then spritz on some lavender water all over your face and let it dry out completely.
  4. Take a generous amount of this face pack and apply it evenly all over your face.
  5. Let it stay for at least half an hour.
  6. Rinse off with cold water.
  7. Do not forget to use a toner and moisturizer afterwards to complete this skincare regime.

Make sure you apply this face pack every alternate day of the week for a fortnight to see a visible improvement.
