  3. Wow, looks like now I will have to start using green tea, my friends have been hounding me for what feels like years now to take it up. Maybe that is part of the reason that I have not already. But it will be funny when they find out that I am using it to apply on my skin rather than drinking it. It is making me laugh thinking about the ways they will react :D. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing this with us. Acne is one of the most common skin problem and does not just affects teenagers, believe me I know this. I think most women do realize this as soon as they get out of their teenage years but life isn’t fair and some people are blessed with perfect skin while some of us have to deal with acne all our lives. The teenage years never end in that sense. But using natural remedies and ingredients to treat a variety of our health issues is great. I just recently discovered this and since then I have been on a sort of a health kick . I am always looking for natural remedies to treat my problems and glowpink always has, looks like, all the natural remedies ever devised. Sorry I went on a bit of a rant there. So, lastly, just want to say thanks a lot for what you are doing, love you guys. Good bye

I am asking that because I do not have much acne but want to improve my skin and green tea looks great for this purpose, the more I read about it. And also I do get pimples on my face every once in a while and they are really annoying to deal with, I never know what the best is to deal with them. Please reply soon

  7. @Sabrina – Hi Sabrina. Yes, green tea is really effective actually in helping to make your skin brighter. it has strong anti-inflammatory properties which aids in reducing redness and irritation on the skin and also helps to clear blotches and acne from the skin. You can harness these benefits of green tea for the skin by either drinking it or using it as a topical application. Or you can also utilize both the methods together if you are so inclined. Read through the article and you will find many remedies which will suit your skin and help your specific problems, even if it is not acne. All the best with your efforts.

  8. Green tea is amazing. Never though it could be used for so much. it almost feels like a medicine at this point. Terrific post by the way, thank you.

  9. @Nettie Briggs – It is a medicine, what are you talking about 😀 lol. I do agree with you. I drink it every single day. Reducing the risk of cancers is reason enough for me, you know. See ya.

  10. Hi guys, I had a really bad breakout this week and I had to go abroad with a trip with my friends and hubby. I was so worried, annoyed and plain exasperated that my friggin breakouts always happen at such crucial times. whyyyy?? Anyway, I was not about to give up that easily. My medication has not been working lately, probably that is why I got the breakout even. I looked for natural remedies far and wide to help get rid of my acne but did not commit to try anything yet. Then I came across the information that I can prevent my breakouts and heal them with the help of green tea. That caught my attention as I love drinking green tea and I had noticed that my acne on average had gotten much less since I started drinking it. So I decided it was time to apply the green tea on my face rather than drinking it all the time. I fixed on honey and green tea mask, just because I also love honey and my I see my sister using it all the time (and she has great skin anyway btw, don’t know why she needs that.). I tried it out and viola. My acne had faded significantly in just a day and a couple days later I was back to clear skin. Just in time for my trip. Now I am enjoying myself on a beach straight chilling with great skin. Thanks glowpink, love you guys. Also, ladies, try it out, you won’t be disappointed. Ok bye now.

  11. Great, now I have another reason to drink green tea. Not like I needed it. I drink too much green tea already I think. Thanks for the informative post, I am sure many women will find help in it.

  12. @ Virginia Payne – Green tea is awesome! There have been scientific studies which have linked green tea with many benefits for the skin. and it includes preventing and getting rid of acne. Drinking green tea is known to provide a plethora of health benefits for the whole body. One of those is curbing inflammation on the body which is a good way to prevent and reducing acne. You certainly can use the home remedies detailed in this post to make face masks and stuff and they will help a lot in reducing acne but if, for some reason, you do not want to do that, maybe you are short on time or whatever, you can also use green tea by mixing it with your commercial skin care products too. That will work just fine too. Good luck with your acne however you do not need luck, you have got all the remedies you need right here 😀

  13. Green tea is the best remedy for reducing acne. and tons of other problems with the health, skin everything. try it out guys. 🙂

  14. Brilliant, now I have another excuse for drinking green tea all the time. Thank you Glowpink for that 🙂

  15. Great post. People are finally catching on to the majesty that is green tea. I have been using it on my face every day for years now. And I have great skin, if I do say so myself. Also, plenty of other people have also said that. I have gotten ton of compliments on my skin over the years, I am not trying to brag or anything, I am 65 years old but no one can guess my real age just based off of my skin.

  16. Great post but it is so extensive and exhaustive I am confused about which method to go for. You guys have any recommendations about which method would be the best way to go about it. Thanks in advance for any help.

  17. Green tea is an incredible remedy. It has so many benefits for the skin as should be apparent from this post and all the people raving about it all over the place. I know of another useful effect of green tea for the skin. It can help you protect your skin from sun damage too. Yeah, I know, hard to believe but it is true. Green tea contains phenols which have the capacity to help repair the sun damage done to the skin. There has been a study in which skin was treated with green tea extracts and then the skin was exposed to UV light. The green tea extract did not have much of effect in shielding the skin from UV rays but afterwards what happened was great. What happened then was that the skin cells that were treated with green tea extract started to repair their DNA right away to heal the skin back to its normal functioning whereas the skin cells which weren’t treated got inflamed. So start using green tea on your skin, it will help you protect you from effects of sun damage like hyper-pigmentation. While I am not saying that stop using sunscreen but green tea can help provide a healing element for any damage that might get through to your skin. Hope some of you ladies find this helpful.

  18. Hey team glowpink, good post. We all know that green tea is a healthy drink but you gals should not just depend upon green tea alone to clear up your acne. There is still more research to be done on the effects of green tea to clear up your acne. So drinking green tea will certainly make you healthier and that also may indirectly have an effect on your acne. Now, the face masks and the topical application seems like a more effective method to me for clearing up acne. Really interested in trying them out myself and see how that goes. I will try to return with my experience and results. Cheers. 🙂

  19. Great post. It is really well done and full of useful and practical information and remedies. I mean there are so many remedies here, nobody can even test them all out I think. I have very oily skin. I was wondering if green tea is okay for oily skin?? how are its effects with oily skin? Has anyone with oily skin has tried out green tea on their skin? Please share your experience or any advice, that will be really helpful and I will appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance to anyone with relevant info. Good day.

  20. @ Mable – I have tried out green tea on my face and it is great. I also have fairly oily skin and green tea actually helped with that too. After using teh green tea remedy on my face I felt my skin and it felt kind of dry, in a nice way, and really smooth too. i loved it. Now, I use green tea regularly on my face. and the effects have been amazing and my acne have also reduced a lot and skin feels great too. I would definitely recommend that you try it out too. Don’t think you will regret it.

  21. Hey team glowpink. Terrific work on this article. Love the amount of natural home remedies you have packed into this. So many, my eyes are sparkling with eagerness and excitement. I gotta catch em all I feel like 😀 lol. I was wondering about the brand of green tea. Which is the best onbe for making the face masks, which one should I go for ? You guys have any recommendations?? Much appreciated. Cheers!

  22. @ Lela – I would say go for any good quality brand but make sure that it is a Natural brand. All types of natural green tea brands contain skin healing and treating properties along with vitamin K. Although, I would say that do not go for a tea which has added preservatives to it or sugar also. Other than that, you are fine selecting your own preferred green tea.

  23. Green tea is absolutely amazing. I am in love with it. The best thing is that is packed with anti-oxidants to the brim of the cup. Antioxidants are basically the best for the body. They protect the body (which includes your skin) from damage from free radicals. These damage from free radicals is the source of many of our serious problems including some cancers. So definitely start drinking green tea as soon as possible which should be like today. So, the green tea can also be highly beneficial in topical application like face masks, toners and stuff to help remedy skin issues like the most common one right here – acne. Splendid post team glowpink, Thanks for bringing green tea to the forefront and educating more people about it. Have a lovely day.

  24. Hey people, What kind of green tea should i use for getting rid of my acne on my face. Please reply soon I need help. Thanks.

  25. @ Esmeralda – There is no definitive answer for that but I have some tips which I have discovered myself which will make for the best face masks and other topical applications. First, always look for high quality tea. That means look for tea which come fully sealed and packaged in foil lined packaging, instead of cardboard boxes and stuff. That’s because the antioxidants in the green tea need to be preserved. Also, look for teas whose leaves look fresh. They should be green. Look for organic variety always, as that is obvious by itself. The bets green tea is found in Japan, well, why? because they are the one who have been making and drinking it for the longest of times. They have sooo many varieties too. So if you can get the green tea from Japan :D. I am only half joking there, if you can get green tea from Japan, whether it is imported, or from some relatives who live there, or if you are visiting or whatever. Get the green tea from Japan I am telling you it’s the absolute best.

  26. Hey gals and guys, awesome post!! i love it, I am going to use green tea face masks a lot from now on I promise. I just had a slight confusion. Do i have to rinse off the green tea from my face or leave it one there?? Anybody please reply. Thanks a bunch in advance.

  27. @ Angelica Dunn – That would depend on the way you are using the green tea. If you are using a face mask made from green (or from any other ingredients for that matter) you have to rinse it off after a specific amount of time. Whereas, if you are using a toner made from green tea, you need to leave it on. With toners you should use it in the morning after cleansing your face and in the night before going to bed. Hope this helped.
