Steps To Prepare Rice Water:

Rice Water

Things Required:

 Organic plain rice  5 cups
 Distilled water  2 to 3 cups

Directions To Do:

  1. Firstly, take the rice and stir it well using some plain water to remove the impurities present in it.
  2. Then take a saucepan and put the washed rice into it.
  3. Add enough water into the rice and place it on the stove under a low flame.
  4. Heat the pan until the rice gets boiled completely.
  5. Now remove the pan from the heat.
  6. Strain the rice water in a separate bowl leaving the boiled rice in the pan.

Fermented Rice Water

Things Required:

 Organic plain rice  5 cups
 Distilled water  2 to 3 cups

Directions To Do:

  1. Wash the rice with enough amount of water to remove the impurities present in it.
  2. Then place a bowl and add the rice and distilled water into it.
  3. Leave the rice to be soaked inside the water for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. After that strain the rice water and pour it inside a bottle.
  5. Leave the rice water undisturbed for about 2 to 3 days.
  6. Once the bottle starts to smell sour, then you can take the fermented rice water and start using it in your hair masks.
  7. Do not use this in the concentrated form directly on your hair. Always dilute it with any other ingredients or distilled water before using it on your hair and scalp.

Different Hair Masks Using Rice Water:

#1. Rice Water With Green Tea

Things Required:

 Rice water  1/2 cup
 Green tea leaves  1 tbsp
 Distilled water  1 cup

Directions To Do:

  1. Firstly, take a small bowl and fill it with distilled water.
  2. Heat the water by keeping it under a low flame.
  3. Then add the green tea leaves into the boiling water and leave it for a few minutes.
  4. Wait until the water turns to a greenish solution.
  5. Then remove the water from the heat and allow the tea leaves to get steep inside the water.
  6. Now strain the green tea solution in a separate bowl leaving the residues behind.
  7. Then add the prepared rice water into the green tea solution.
  8. Stir the solution well to make them get mixed well.
  9. Then start to rinse your hair using this rice water solution.
  10. While rinsing, massage your scalp with the rice water solution for a few minutes.
  11. Then rinse your hair with the normal water.

Repetitions:

  • Once in a week.

#2. Rice Water With Essential Oils

Things Required:

 Rice water  1 cup
 Lavender essential oil  2 to 3 drops
 Rosemary essential oil  2 to 3 drops

Directions To Do:

  1. Pour the prepared rice water into a small bowl and wait until it reaches a warm temperature.
  2. Then add the given essential oils into the rice water kept in the bowl.
  3. Stir the mixture well to make them get combined well.
  4. Now wash your hair with the regular shampoo and water.
  5. After that, rinse your hair with this rice water and massage your scalp using your fingertips for a few minutes.
  6. Leave the mixture to be there on your hair for about 10 to 15 minutes. Also, cover your hair using a shower cap.
  7. Then wash your hair with the normal water.

Repetitions:

  • Once in a week.

#3. Diluted Fermented Water

Things Required:

 Fermented Rice water  1/2 cup
 Lavender essential oil   (optional)  2 to 3 drops
 Distilled water  1/2 cup

Directions To Do:

  1. Take the fermented rice water and pour it into a bowl.
  2. Then add an equal amount of distilled water to make it diluted.
  3. Now add the essential oil into the rice water solution kept in the bowl. Adding this oil is optional.
  4. Then stir the solution well to make the ingredients get combined well.
  5. Use your regular shampoo and wash your hair with the water.
  6. Then spray the rice water solution all over your hair and scalp.
  7. Massage your scalp and hair for a few minutes.
  8. After this, you can either wash your hair after 20 minutes or you can also leave the mixture to stay on your hair for the entire day or overnight.
  9. Finally, wash your hair with normal water.

Repetitions:

  • Once in a week.

#4. Rice Water With Honey

Things Required:

 Rice water  1/2 cup
 Raw honey  2 tbsp
 Rosemary essential oil  10 drops

Directions To Do:

  1. Firstly, place a small bowl and add all the given ingredients one by one into the bowl.
  2. Stir the mixture well until the ingredients get combined.
  3. Then you can either use a hairbrush or fingertips for applying the mixture all over your hair and scalp.
  4. Also, massage your scalp with your fingertips for a few minutes.
  5. Then leave the mixture to be there on your hair for one hour. You can also leave it overnight.
  6. Now rinse your hair with cool water. Also, this water can be used for rinsing your hair after applying the shampoo.

  • Once in a week.

#5. Fermented Rice Water With Aloe Vera Juice

Things Required:

 Fermented Rice water  1/2 cup
 Chamomile tea /   Shikakai tea  1 cup
 Aloe vera juice  1/4 cup
 Lavender essential oil  25 drops
 Liquid castile soap  1 cup

Directions To Do:

  1. For preparing this mixture, you can either use the chamomile tea or the Shikakai tea solution.
  2. Place a small bowl and add the fermented rice water into it.
  3. Then add the other given ingredients one by one into the same bowl that contains the rice water.
  4. Stir the solution well using a spoon until they get mixed well.
  5. Now start applying this solution all over your hair and scalp.
  6. Leave the mixture to stay on your hair for a few minutes.
  7. Then take a small amount of your regular shampoo and apply it all over your hair and scalp.
  8. Massage your scalp for a few minutes using the fingertips.
  9. Then start to wash your hair with warm or cold water.

Repetitions:

  • Use it on alternative days regularly for about 3 to 4 weeks.
