Sugar and Gelatin

How To:

  1. Take two to three strips of gelatin and put them over a hot double boiler to melt it completely.
  2. Add three tablespoons of castor sugar to the melted gelatin along with a few drops of lemon juice and any essential oil of your liking. Mix the ingredients together to make a smooth fine paste.
  3. Keeping mixing the solution while the gelatin is still hot so that the castor sugar melts a bit and reduces in size.
  4. Let the mixture cool down for a bit and then transfer it onto empty soap moulds. Leave the soap moulds in a cold place for a couple of hours or so until it cools down completely and makes a solid formation just like normal soap.
  5. Use this soap just as you would with any other soap, wash the area first with water and lather the soap over it to make gentle foam.
  6. Leave the foam for a few minutes like it is and then wash it off with cold water. Use a tissue paper or a mild scrubber to rub the area and remove the unwanted hairs. Move the paper in the opposite direction of hair growth.
  7. Apply some aloe vera gel to provide relief to the area and prevent it from getting red all over. Pat the skin dry with a towel.
  8. Keep this soap handy and use it whenever the hair has grown substantially in an area where you don’t want it.
