The five major steps of every facial are cleansing, exfoliation, steaming, face mask and moisturizing. Japanese also follow these 5 steps. However, their ingredients are quite different from what we use. One ingredient which is used in all the steps is rice.

Japanese Rice Facial To Look 10 Years Younger – Get Glowing, Crystal Clear and Spotless Skin At Home

Step 1- Rice Milk Cleanser

Ingredients used:

  • 1/2 cup of brown rice flour
  • 2-3 tablespoons of organic rice milk

Procedure:

  1. Take a small bowl and mix both the above-mentioned ingredients in it to make a paste.
  2. Gently rub this paste onto your clean skin in circular motion for a few minutes.
  3. Leave it on for 5 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

Step 2- Rice scrub

Ingredients used:

  • Rice
  • Tomato juice

Procedure:

  1. Take the rice and grind it to get a coarse powder. Make sure not to grind it completely.
  2. Take 2 teaspoons of this rice powder and mix it with 2 tablespoons of tomato juice.
  3. Apply it nicely on your skin and massage it for a good 5 minutes.
  4. Rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Step 3- Steaming

Ingredients used:

  • 2-3 cups of water
  • 2 drop of lavender essential oil
  • Towel

Procedure:

  1. Boil the water for around 5 minutes on a high flame.
  2. Remove it from the flame and add the lavender essential oil to it.
  3. Put the towel over your head to cover it and then hold your face over the steaming water for 10 minutes.
  4. Wipe the excess water from your face with the towel.

Step 4- Rice Face Mask

Face Masks for Normal Skin

Ingredients used:

  • 1 tablespoon of rice powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons of milk

Procedure:

  1. Make a smooth paste using the above-mentioned ingredients.
  2. Apply it on your face and leave it on for almost 20 minutes.
  3. Wash off with normal water.

Face Mask for Oily skin

Ingredients used:

  • 1 tablespoon of rice powder
  • 1/4 spoon of turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons of rosewater

Procedure:

  1. Make a paste using all the ingredients mentioned above.
  2. Apply it on your skin and then leave it on for 15 mins.
  3. Wash it off with normal water.

Face Mask for Dry skin

Ingredients used:

  • 1 tablespoon of rice flour
  • 2 tablespoons of honey

Procedure:

  1. Make a paste using rice flour and honey.
  2. Apply this paste on your skin and keep it on for 15 minutes.
  3. Wash it off with normal water.

Step 5- Rice Moisturizing cream

Ingredients used:

  • 2 tablespoons of rice
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of corn flour
  • Vitamin E oil

Procedure:

  1. Cook the washed rice until it becomes thick and mashy.
  2. Strain the rice in a small bowl to get the creamy rice water.
  3. Add the lemon and corn flour to it and mix it nicely to make a thick paste.
  4. At last, add the vitamin E oil to it and mix it. Make sure to mix all the ingredients nicely so that there are no lumps in the paste.
  5. Apply it on your skin and leave it on.
