Clingen Forte has the following generics names, along given is their individual strength:

Clindamycin (100 mg) + Clotrimazole (100 mg) + Tinidazole (100 mg)

How does it work ?

Clingen Forte works to harm the microorganisms which cause vaginal infections. The individual working of each generic of this medicine can be understood as being described below:

Tinidazole: It is a nitroimidazole antibiotic, which specifically fights anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. It disrupts the production of their DNA by entering inside them.This causes their death thereby decreasing the infection caused by them.

Clindamycin: It is a member of lincosamide group of antibiotics. It slows down the growth of bacteria as it hinders the formation of bacterial protein.

Clotrimazole: Being an anti-fungal, it causes harm to the infection causing fungi by disturbing the activity of their enzymes by permeating into their cell wall. It basically affects the proper formation of cell walls or membranes.

Tinidazole: It is used in the management of infections caused by parasites or protozoa and bacteria, found in genitals, blood, womb lining, skin etc.

  • acute leukemia
  • abdominal surgery prophylaxis
