What is the generic name (s)?

It contains estrogen[1] (Ethinyl Esstradiol) and progestin[2] (Cyproterone) which prevents the release of eggs from the ovaries and change the lining of the womb to prevent pregnancy[3].
The composition of these hormones per tablet is as followed:

  • Ethinyl Estradiol  :   0.035 mg
  • Cyproterone        :   2.000 mg

Krimson 35 Days is a combined Hormonal contraceptive pill[4].

Ethinyl Estradiol is a synthetic form of female hormones responsible for the maintenance and development of menstruation cycles.

Cyproterone is an anti-androgen drug. It works by stopping the actions of male hormones during intercourse and prevent conception[5].

No, This drug is not safe to administer to pregnant women.
Estradiol / Cyproterone been assigned to pregnancy category ‘X’ by the FDA, which implies that the medicine is Contraindicated in pregnancy: Studies in animals or humans have demonstrated fetal abnormalities and/or there is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience, and the risks involved in use of the drug in pregnant women clearly outweigh potential benefits.

It can be unsafe to take if you are breast feeding or are planning for breast feeding. Consult with a doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to start breastfeeding before using this medicine.

If more than 12 hours had passed since the scheduled time of taking the pill you missed, then follow the instructions below:

Case 2: If you missed to take a pill in the last week of cycle, start the next course of dosage straightaway and do not have a pill-free week. No extra precautions needed, finish the newly started course normally. At the end of the cycle, stop and have a break as normal.
