Home Remedies For Irregular Period

Cinnamon And Milk

Things you will need:

 Milk  1 cup
 Cinnamon  1/2 Tsp

Procedure:

  1. Take a glass of milk and heat it.
  2. Add in 1/2 a Tsp of cinnamon to it and mix well.
  3. Drink it up!

Use this treatment once every day for weeks.

Cinnamon warms the body up and this heat helps in inducing the periods regularly and on time.

Carrom and Jaggery Treatment

Things you will need:

 Carrom Seeds  1 Tsp
 Jaggery  1 Tsp
 Water  1 glass

Procedure:

  1. Take a vessel and fill it with 1 glass of water.
  2. Add in carrom seeds and jaggery to it.
  3. Let it boil for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Once done, strain it and drink it up!

Drink this every single day on an empty stomach.

Ajwain tends to crunch the abdomen and helps in inducing heat in the body which causes periods faster.

Ginger And Honey Treatment

Things you will need:

 Ginger Juice  1/2 tbsp
 Honey  1 Tsp

Procedure:

  1. Take some fresh ginger and grate it.
  2. Place it in a cheesecloth and squeeze to extract the juice.
  3. Mix a little honey to it and consume.

Eat this every day for a week before the actual date of your period.

Ginger is very effective when it comes to mestrual problems. Starting from making it regular to treating the cramps and flow.

Celery Juice

Things you will need:

 Celery  1 small bunch
 Cucumber  1/2
 Green Apple  1
 Lemon  1/2
 Ginger  1 inch

Procedure:

  1. Take half a cucumber, peel it, cut it into small pieces and toss it into a blender.
  2. Add celery to it and blend them together on low speed first.
  3. Once it reaches a thick puree consistency, add in the apple, lemon as well as ginger in it and blend them at high speed.
  4. Strain it in a glass and drink it up.

Drink this up everyday till you get your periods regularized.

Celery stimulates the blood flow in the uterus and pelvis. It induces the period and also regularize periods and menstrual cycle. Celery is also a healthy choice as it contains a lot of water and zero calories.

Peppermint Tea

Things you will need:

 Peppermint Leaves  Handful
 Dried Mint Leaves  2 Tsp
 Water  2 Cups
 Honey  1 Tsp

Procedure:

  1. Take a handful of peppermint leaves and grind them.
  2. In a vessel heat 2 cups of water.
  3. Add in the leaves to water and let it boil.
  4. Now, add the dried mint leaves to the water and bring it to boil 1 more time.
  5. Once done, turn the flame off and let it sit for 2 minutes.
  6. Strain it in a cup and add 1 Tsp of honey.
  7. Mix well and drink up!

Drink this up every day for faster and better results.

Drinking a cup of this tea will help in regularizing the period. Peppermint contains anti-spasmodic whose menthol effects ease the muscle contractions of the walls, and thus, help with the cramps and heavy blood flow.

Exercises

Reverse Crunches

  1. Lie flat on your back with arms on your sides.
  2. Begin with bending your knees.
  3. Breathe in and pull your knees closer to your head.
  4. Look up and relax.
  5. Now, lift your hips up while bringing the knees closer to your head.
  6. Repeat this without keeping your feet on the floor.

Repeat this 12 times for 3 sets.

Scissor Kicks

  1. Begin the exercise by lying flat on the ground.
  2. Now, raise both the legs a few inches above the ground.
  3. Keep your knees slightly bent.
  4. Now, lift one leg up and lift the other one as you bring the first one down.
  5. Do this for a couple of times and then rest.

Repeat this 20 times, rest and begin again. Follow 3 sets of 20 reps each.

Sit-Ups

  1. Begin this by lying down on your back.
  2. Bend your knees and place your feet on the ground.
  3. Place your hand crossed on your chest and begin with lifting your upper body up.
  4. Make sure that you use your stomach to lift the body and not your back.
  5. Hold the position for a second and then go back to the starting position.

Repeat 15 reps of 3 sets.

Sits ups crunch the abdomen and produces heat which helps in inducing periods faster and regularly.

Yoga

Adho Mukha Svanasana

  1. Begin with place your hands on the ground. Keep your knees bent and on the floor.
  2. Place your hand shoulder-width apart.
  3. Relax your body, breathe and arch your spine.
  4. Do this in an up and down movement.
  5. Now, exhale and carefully raise your knees from the ground. Align them with your ankle.
  6. Straighten both legs and make a triangle using your body.
  7. Stay in the same position for 20–25 breaths and then come down.

Repeat this 10 times in 1 single set.

This might be a little difficult to do but a little focus can help in performing this easily. Adho Mukha Svanasana helps in regularising the periods as it reverses the pull of gravity. This promotes circulation of fresh blood which in turn regularise periods.

Malasana

  1. Stand upright with your back straight. Keep your legs and feet together.
  2. Bend your knees and spread them sideways.
  3. Move your chest forward till it comes right between your thighs.
  4. Bring your elbow close to the floor and spread your arms.
  5. Hold the position, take a few breaths and return to the starting position.
