Pamper your skin with skin brightening oats facial
Oats is a healthy breakfast and it is one of the best options to go for if you want to lose weight.
But, do you know it can also be used to prepare face packs and moisturizers.
Today in this video, we will be sharing a mini facial with oats for instant skin brightening effects
Step #1 Prepare a mild cleanser
The ingredients that you will require to prepare this face cleanser are
2 tbsp of steam distilled rosewater and
2 tbsp of full-fat milk
Mix 2 tbsp of rose water and 2 tbsp of full-fat milk well and your facial cleanser is ready.
Dip a cotton ball in this solution.
Squeeze out the excess, then gently wipe your face with it.
Before moving on to the next step, steam your face for a while to open up the clogged pores.
Step #2 prepare a gentle exfoliating scrub
To make this scrub you will need
2 tbsp of full-fat milk
A few drops of tea tree essential oil and
4 tbsp of oats
For the preparation you must take 4 tsps of oats and run it through a blender to get a powdery mixture.
Transfer 1 tablespoon of oatmeal powder in a clean container.
Add 2 tbsp of full fat milk in it, if you have acne-prone skin add few drops of tea tree essential oil in it.
Whisk it well and your scrub is ready.
After using the facial cleanser, dot your face with this scrub.
Gently massage with a light hand for a minute or two in small, circular strokes.
Rinse it off with running tap water and pat dry your face with a towel.
Step #3 prepare your face pack.
To prepate the face pack you will need
3 tbsp of oatmeal powder
A few drops of lavender essential oil
3 tbsp of manuka honey and
3 tbsp of full-fat milk
Add the oatmeal powder, manuka honey, full-fat milk and few drops of lavender essential oil in a mixing bowl.
Whisk it up until you achieve a face pack with a smooth consistency. Break the lumps if any.
Then take a generous amount of this face pack on your face pack applicator.
Apply it evenly all over your face and neck.
Let it sit for the next 20 minutes and then rinse it off with plain water.
Step #4 prepare your moisturizer
If you have extremely oily skin then you can apply aloe vera gel as well to seal the deal.
If you have normal to combination skin, then you can use DIY moisturizer given below.
To prepare this moisturizer, you will need
1 tbsp of manuka honey and
1 tbsp of full-fat milk
Mix them well and your moisturizer is ready.
Dot your face with this moisturizer.
Then gently massage it in your skin until it gets absorbed completely.
Oats absorbs all the excess oil from your skin and helps to control excess oil secretion and thus helps to prevent pimples.
Full fat milk deeply cleanses your skin and also penetrates into the deeper layers of your skin and helps to achieve an even skin tone.
Honey is a humectant that moisturizes your skin and it is suitable for all skin types.
Powdered oats mildly exfoliates your face and helps to clear blackheads and whiteheads from your face.
To get the best results, try to do this facial at least once in a fortnight and you are good to go.
